mkay so i've played for under a month but here's how i rank the classes, as a tank

1. i can't speak of other tanks as i never see them, but playing lancer

2. healers: priest is simply better, i cry every time i see a mythic in the party
a priest can:
- pull me
- regen my mana
- overall heals better
- cast buffs (i know that we are ready to attack the boss)
a mythic:
- has balls on the ground (annoying)
- has a summon (annoying)

3. dps
-ninja: the best, high dps, low aggro, high survivability (not gonna talk about armour type)
-everyone else-
-power gap-
- archers: their attacking the boss while he stands in a pile of shit is their worst trait, other than that they're alright
-valkyries: they attack the boss without me the most (before we've "talked strategy", before we're gotten buffs and stuff from the healer, even before everyone's inside the arena), the stupid part is as i understand it they are encouraged to be shitters, as they have some energy bar that always goes down unless they shit things up. also idk if they're OP or what, but if i lose aggro in normal circumstances, it's to a valkyrie
-mages: the worst, every mage i've met has been a complete retard (with the exception of one qt)

honorable mentions (part to -everyone else-):
-warriors: either really good or really bad, i always have a feeling they're going to be extremely edgy for some reason
- gunners: i have no problems at all with gunners, there's a meme that their dps is low but as all i care about is strategy and survivability, they're fine in my book
- reapers: i have no problem with them either, in fact i like their story and there's smth comfy about having another class use chains

Ninja is one of the worst 3 dps classes, together with Slayer and Gunner.

As a lancer, your crit rate on your highest hitting skill, wallop, will be pathetically low. I know spring attack is a third of your dps but wallop as an individual skill hits very high ... when it crits. Seeing a mystic in the party I think "fuck yeah I'm gonna hit a lot today." If you're not in a dungeon where you're really forced to rely on your healer, then it shouldn't matter who you get if you're good.

The rest I don't care about, but I do agree that archers are annoying scum 9/10 times.

>pops a brooch and goes ham during a repositioning phase where everyone else has halted dps to avoid a wipe, then passive aggressively asks why they have aggro

You're both illiterate and dumb as hell, ripping TB before the tank can even hit the boss, let alone enrage or buff is the stupidest thing you can do. Archers once again proving my fucking point by being retarded anonymously and in person.

Tanks who immediately enrage tend to lose aggro the moment a competent DPS follows up with their buffed/brooched skills. In my experience tanks who smack the boss around just a couple of times (not even a full percent) and then pop their enrage/a.rush/gshout stand up better to the initial burn phase. Despite claiming to give the user top aggro, shouts in tera are not great at maintaining that level of threat unless they're immediately supported by raw damage. Enrage has a crazy long animation time on it. So it's not uncommon (and I've seen this while dps'ing, while healing, and while tanking against particularly good dps) to see the tank enrage at the start, gain aggro, and then lose it a moment later when a zerk hits a big TS or an archer rips off that inevitable TB because they were given top threat but their comrades were strong enough to rip it away while they were animation locked.

Not saying you shouldn't enrage at the start, just that doing it immediately at the beginning tends to fuck up most tanks I've seen compared to using like, shield barrage/spring attack or shield barrage/wallop first or something quick like that. We're not even talking about half a percentage lost here, but it goes a long way. Amount of times I've gained threat at the start of a fight on my dps because the tank opened with their enrage and nothing else are too many to count.

Game has changed a lot since OBT. Priest is pretty fun to learn and do well with, also it's the preferred healer over mystic for most groups.

Still, the ERP and dressing slutty is the real end game.

Don't feed him lies. A good mystic will keep the group just as healed as a priest while giving everyone more critical hits and an additional endurance debuff during burn phases. Both healers are fine, but if you outright prefer priest then you're basically saying that you enjoy having your hand held because you can't dodge shit.
