As far as I can tell, Humans are still the most useful. Elves can't use lance which is a pain, and they don't have the str to do close combat effectively, which leaves them magic, puppetry, and range, which is also a problem with lag.

Giants get the strength and are the best lancers, but its really whatever you want.

I'm solely a fan of elves because it's just how I am. Giants look weird. I give them caveman names if I make them. Like Nugnug or Wugwa or something.
All in all, play how you want.
I still am effective with a human that screws around. New skill added - Dance of Death. Fun times.

If they had just figured out earlier that pvp and pve can have separate balance states that don't overlap it wouldn't have been a problem.

Any anons playing Record or Lodoss War Online here? Based on anime so i guess this quailies in /ammg/

Played it for a few days. Feels like really oldschool Ragnarok. So if you're into that then you might like it.
Quests sucks since it's the generic kill and hunt quests but the dialogue is pretty nice. One you finish a quest the NPC goes to your hideout so you can collect waifus and they give bonuses.
Also p2w. Costumes pretty much doubles your HP/MP and damage. Then they limit the character slots since making multiple characters gives bonuses.
Overall I give it a 6/10. It wasn't that fun after a week but for the first few days it was okay.

cotume give like 100 hp so well, doubles hp seems of a bit of a stretch. but yeah im having fun 2 days in, just suck that its relatively new so no guide in english so i gotta interact with ppl to know more about the game
but all in all ppl i met here is nice, giving me directions when i was lost (not literally lost lul)

I checked and yep individual piece give different bonus. only armor slot gives either hp or mp or defense

sad state for small mmo yep. they probably cant survive on their own without f2p. Reality of the world.

Just spam cute costumes and make them time limited. p2w is really a cancer that isn't needed in the first place.
