probably a good track weapon, utterly pointless for street/traffic use.

makes me really glad im in my last week of being a gm service tech. here in nice suburb of Miami - so almost every household practically owns a newer vette so we get a fair share in for maintenace/warranty work/etc.
They're already kinda cunts to work on, i hate to think of the mid engine. My first car was a 92 MR2 i modded for years, swapped a couple motors.. god working on that thing was awful.

>some boomer hitting mcdonalds in his new vette

Already in its natural habitat

fuck you beat me to it

at least the car has a fat ass to match

Is it already leaking oil, that puddle has a strange color?

Mid engine corvette: because boomers just didn't crash em enough

>mfw it's AWD

I WANT TWO NUMBER NINES

About fucking time.

Will they finally kill off the Corvette brand once all boomer die off? I sure hope so. Let's move on already.

/ourcar/.

It will be the NSX that we all wanted.
>fast
>powerful
>sounds good
>will probably look fantastic
>I mean, just look at the shape of the body. It's perfect
>will handle well
>absolute track monster
>gm might win le mans for once

The only downside of this car is that it is being made by GM. Aside from GM simply being GM, they have a habit of fucking shit up. Hopefully, this won't be Corvair 2: Electric Boogaloo

That's one of its features. American Engineering at its finest.

oh thanks I didn't get the joke

Vettes just like Vipers imo should have their long front.
It looks odd having a short front.

it cant compete as usual

Are they really going to call it a corvette no new name for it? It's just not really a corvette once you fucking have to design and build a new mid engine car from scratch and please don't tell me it still uses pushrod engine

M U R I C A

>Cheap(ish)
>Targa Top (hopefully)
>Oversized Vee Ate Motur
>Shits on Europoors
>Stick Shift

I'm hype as fuck desu

those camo pictures look really good

So many people are going to end up killing themselves if this is released.

paint looks shitty and the panel gaps are awful.

It's the fat drained off the meal, in case you're on a diet

>glorious LS
>mid mounted

is this not destiny?

I hope it's reasonably priced, and mass produced. I'm going to be bummed if it's some limited edition unicorn where you have to make a youtube video of yourself explaining why you deserve it just to buy one from Chevy like the Ford GT.

what if i painted an obscure car in that stupid paintjob? would faggots take pictures of it thinking its some prototype?

being a gm it wouldn't surprise me

I agree. Hopefully they call it something else.

or its a cadillac.

I can already see the snap oversteer.

If it starts 50-60k like the current 'vette it will be super neato, if they want 80k for it it'll flop like all get out.

its shit

a lot and hopefull it's a widowmaker

meaning they can eat anything they want anytime without worry.
Fat cunts REJOICE!

How likely is it that they will make a racecar version of it and replace the old C7.R? The C7.R will be the oldest GTE-spec car in 2018.

Boomers, not even once

>crashing vettes into other vettes
>Getting in the way on twisties on their fat ass harleys and getting salty when I pass them on jap scrap

i hope they all die desu

I can't imagine it'll be that much more, assuming it is actually a corvette. Hopefully it's cheap. They'll probably have a top of the line one that's god-tier but still.

im surprised this isnt a think with ricers

Lmao I bet they would honestly. Just do a vinyl wrap instead of paint

>t-this wouldn't happen with MR

Chevrolet really is trying to go full Ferrari now, eh?

>mfw great aunt plans on buying one
>she and her husband already have two c7s
>ones the highest trim
why bother with two of the same year.
also I probably won't be allowed near it cause I absolutely cannot drive mr.

I think they're trying to go "Ford GT" and have their own limited-edition supercar.

Even though Chevy's taking forever to get it out.

The overall shape is reminding me of a Ferrari 488 spider

Almost all cars post 2000 are faggots to work on.

Hope they call it Corvair and make a traditional Corvette to supplement it.

I have to think this, or there will be the front engine Vette, then a low production or mid engine zr1 vettes.

The Vette was about a reasonably priced merican car that could hang with exotics at the track.

Maybe they will revive the fiero name, mfw a fiero shits all over a Ford GT

How long until it buys one?

Think that's bad in the US? Got all the same problems in Aus but with the addition of seemingly every person over 30 cycling as a fucking hobby.

I fucking hope cycling dies out as a hobby, it's a fucking pox on our roads.

Thank millenials and others who want their cars loaded with way too much tech.

Insert joke about BBC in the rear

>Europeans take their concepts to Nordschleife
>Americans take their concepts to the McDonalds drive-through
El oh el.

I think they're doing it on purpose to let the public know it still exists and they're still working on it.

Think of it as "viral marketing" in car form, especially since there were at least two of them out there.

It has got quite a large bottom.

>post 2000
>thank millenials
Yeah, all those 5 and 6 year olds buying new cars were the target demographic back then.

AW SHIT THERES ANOTHER IN THE BG
i never see anything but fats when i go to maccas

there's two

>Omae wa mou shindeiru

whoa what a good looking, new corvette gonna look alike this right? or corvette proto/lmp

Those aren't Corvettes, they're Moslers. Designed by the same guy that did the C5 corvette and powered by an LS3 amidships.

I want a V6 Corvair to compete with the Cayman tbhfam

You say that as if dead boomers is a bad thing

>V6
>not V8 of equivalent displacement
It's almost like you like the tinny fart sound that comes out of [insert new V6 car here].

As opposed to any other MR car? As opposed to any top trim sports car?

Do you think this will be the “wtf i love gm now” car?

>boomers and dudebros are the only market for the corvette
>boomers and dudebros are the only ones who die

wew

Better question: How likely is it that the only reason they made a street version is to take it racing?

Absolutely. Especially if they do a Z06 with the LT4. They need to keep pricing reasonable though. Like within $10k of the original. That would be a complete gamechanger.

Is that 911 in the background for benchmarking?

That puddle that isn't even near the car?

>I sure hope GM enables car flippers

Off yourself.

>off yourself
I don't think he said what you think he said.

Corvair

He implied what Ford did with the GT was wrong, they wanted to make sure people were buying the car to keep it. Not to make a quick buck.

People don't get mad when other makers do this.

I'm not him, but I don't think the issue he had was with the sentiment behind how Ford determined allocations, but rather the fact that allocations were needed in the first place. I think he was saying that if Ford didn't choose to artificially drive up the desirability with a limited release more people that wanted them could have had them. He's hoping that doesn't happen with this new Corvette or whatever it is and that it's a wide release that anyone who wants one can buy.

What's actually happening in videos like that? Did the guy punch it suddenly and hang the rear end out or what?

Why are you fucking idiots screaming about calling it corvair?
The corvair wasn't a sports car.
The corvair wasn't mid engined, it was rear engined.
The corvair was a pile of shit.
>Muh fiero
A fiero was an MR sports car. not an MR super car you fucking retards.

>implying the Corvette is a super car
Whatever you want to believe.

yup. knew that was going to happen

The corvette has always been a super car.
It's just not an exotic in America, which makes it seem like something less. And since America is the baseline for global culture everyone in the world sees them that way.

The corvette has competed with top tier super cars its entire existence.

But I thought millennials were too poor to afford new cars
Just look at all the poorfags here circlejerking over shitboxes because that's the only thing they've ever driven

>the pinnacle of burger engineering going out for burgers

pure pottery
