>How I Learned To Stop Worrying About Personal Hygene:

Find a community college or specialist 'school' that can get you a CDL, either finance it or pay out of pocket, then get on board at a company that offers tuition reimbursement.

Stick out your two years in the meat grinder to pay your dues, then decide once you're debt free whether or not you want to stick around.

There are also companies that will train you in exchange for you signing a (typically) 2-year contract, and while these are generally regarded as a total shitfest, it's not the worst thing in the world if that is your only option.

That said, aim for a recognizable company - Swift, Prime, and Schneider all get a lot of flak for being 'puppy mill' companies, but the true shitters are companies like CR England, CRST, and a handful of others that aren't coming to mind.

Nine times out of ten, a smaller, locally-owned-and-operated 'Mom and Pop' company will be your best bet.

You mean 10 minutes

Guys it's hard to breathe. Each inhale burns your throat and nose. Sun is pink from the smoke. This whole state is on fire. Send help.

For a faggot like you, yes.

Enjoy your little tatse of straya. Also snort the ashes to gain the powers of those who fried.

I don't make it known. I go sit in blue collar pubs and drink quietly. I can't stand gay pubs. I'm there to drink, and I don't frollock around like a pansy.

No

I-Is that how I become a shitpost legend? Teach me australia-sensei.

Hey Truckerfag, I made an IRC channel for alcoholics if you wanna join.

If I leave right now I can be home by midnight Friday night. Or I can enjoy this hotel for another 12 hours.

>Prince wales
Is that a gay bar?
I know a guy who allways drinks there.

I don't want to be back at work in 4 hours. Not sure how this will go after what I did to them...

No, it's not. Just the local watering hole.

I might be gay, but i'm also a country boy. I've never set foot in a gay bar, and I refuse to. And to be honest, if you met me in person you wouldn't even know I was gay.

I have nothing against gay bars, but I don't live that sort of lifestyle. I'm just a regular bloke.

Good luck, bepobro.

I used to work for a big freight brokerage.

they treat you guys like shit, honestly. i felt bad.

>I'm just a regular bloke.
But you ain't. You're a faggot.

Were you a broker or some sort of customer service representative?

broker, had to quit cause my commissions were so low because i wouldnt rip off truckers.

some guys there making 2k rips on idiot customers

That's the way she goes. Brokers that actually pay detention are my first call. If I'm making $1000 on 14 miles and get a revised ratecon for $2200 the same day, they're on my first call list.

always be careful with those ratecons, alot of them have smalltext that say no det or layover

are you an owner op?

The text usually isn't that small. "No detention will be paid on ______" is usually bold anyway.

Yep. Been paying repair bills and telling shit rates to fuck off since 2012.

always liked working with owner ops, friendly because they tend to have more bargaining power unless they're trying to get out of Florida and its not produce season

I need to look at local gigs again sometime. Trainee says his brother works for a local company in the town next to mine and gets paid about $250/day, works Mon-Fri and some Saturdays. Apparently he works a ton of hours though.

Your autism is next level. I can't believe what I just read. How did you sit there, for what I can only assume was at least one hour, and write that? More importantly, how did you skim it over after you were done and actually think to yourself, "this is good enough to post"?
This is Veeky Forums, we are the cesspool of the internet. This low quality post goes against everything we stand for - funny memes, good posts and intellectual discussion. Hint: all of these lacking in your post. I cannot believe someone would sit there and write something like this.

I don't know what this is referencing because I have over half the thread filtered at this point but it seems good. What's the context, Satan?

Go away

Well, yesterday we wrapped up training and headed home. Now I'm waiting for my rotation to start on the 17th. I'm tossing around the idea of getting HazMat now since it's +$2/hr.

Also, how difficult is it to unload the pneumatic trailers? And how rough is the typical work week? It seems to be more waiting than anything.

Between boomers, women, pajeets, Russians, blacks, no-cb gps-drones, and Mexicans, which group of truckers is the absolute worst?

CB sucks ass, I have mine off most of the time

So that's one point towards millennials.

...

Unloading isn't too difficult.

If frac sand, drive to site, check in with the sand coordinator, find out which bin/bins on sand chief/sand silo you need to offload into, get guided back to the load spoit, hook up discharge hoses, hook up either hydraulic lines to the trailer mounted compressor or air line from the truck mounted compressor, set your valves to air up the compartments, and engage the pto to start the compressor.
Air up to 15+ psi, then open up to start offloading.

Cement is either offloading into a silo on a drilling rig site, in which case you would check in with the company man and then blow into the correct bin, or offloading into a cement pumper on the fly, in which case you'll get instruction from the cement supervisor/pumper operator.

Either way I'm sure you'll get some mentoring on site on how to correctly set your valves and operate the blower to maximize the speed at which the sand/cement flows.

As for the work week, a lot of it depends on how far the sand loading facility is from the frac site, and how quickly they are pumping it downhole. I have hauled to sites where we do four loads a day because they are burning through it so fast, and others where it is one or two, and a lot of driving/standby.

Cementing on the fly is usually a lot more on site time waiting to start the job.

>try and do this in 2 days

Thanks, very informative. But I'll be doing solely frac sand and at various sites, the unloading doesn't sound too complicated either so I'm a little more confident about that. We will be with a mentor, I'm just anxious to see how this job is going to pan out. Seems promising enough.

you are best to be shutting up comrade or else we "accidentally" drop more nuke satellites on your motherland

How do you guys on your own plan loads?

Got my own authority back in March. I'm pulling a flatbed and use DAT load board. I'm not losing money but I feel I could be more efficient in booking pre plans. I end up sitting a day or two after each load to find another. Every time I try to book a 2nd load in advanced, I have terrible luck and always end up late to my 2nd appointment due to traffic, receivers wanting to take forever to unload, etc.

How far apart do you book your 2nd load in advance of your expected drop off time on load 1?

Yeah, sand hauling is a good gig. If the gompany I was working for hadn't run out of work for almost two months, I might still be there.

It takes a bit of practice to learn the signs of whether you are offloading properly and to minimize plug ups when the bins are close to being full, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy.

Is it straight hourly for everything?

youtu.be/YEt41bYQBgE

This one is better.

>Stop pissing, Yuri. Give me a stopwatch and a map, and I'll fly the Alps in a plane with no windows.

Yeah, $18/hr. with an average of 80-100 hours a week. I wish we got the Omega sites like the ones in San Antonio, they use grain haulers and dump into a conveyor which dumps into a silo. The drivers don't even need to get out of the cab since they have dedicated off loaders.

Find the Fiat, win a free BJ(not from me)

Is she a slut like that? Cuck.

>18/hr
Its always surprising to me what a difference in pay the same job in different regions can bring.

When I was hauling sand I was earning a percentage of the tractor earnings that equalled out to $34/hr.

I would go for hazmat certification if I were in your shoes. Haul some totes of frac chemicals.
Easy work also.

>The empty truck stop across the is too far to go, better take up these nine or ten spots instead

Did she actually let you blow down low, or did you voluntarily shave the scruff?

Isn't $34 canadian pesos around $20 in real people money? Whineys doing alright

It's an open marriage, not a cuck situation

Stuck it in last night, she had forgot how much she likes it in the rear.

>open """marriage"""
>implying she's not the one that's slutting around while you only wack it yourself
Man is this a good representation of the trucking industry workers? We got an anime-addicted virgin that drops jobs like flies, a fat gaylord, and guy that thinks he's a trucker, two cucks, and a bam margera wannabe. Also lots and lots of fat guys.

After hitting overtime it becomes $27/hr but we also get mileage and load bonuses so it adds up. I will be making a decent chunk of change where I live, enough to buy this house and my dream car. HazMat is on the agenda and jumps me up to $20/hr.

>It's an open marriage
t. every cuck ever

so, a cuck situation

I didn't say he wasn't, it was just an observation. And our currency is called the Bieber, named after one of our national treasures.

That's pretty good in that case. Hazmat is just a written test isn't it? How much is it to get?

Smells like samefagging.

...

We take ours on a computer, pretty straightforward but it's $111 for everything. So I'll study up and probably go take it tomorrow.

...

...

Shit, I just realized that you are on PC, and I am on phone, which helps neither of our cases.

Vacation almost over then back to my desk job.

Trucking kind of sucks. I'm way better behind a computer than I'd be on the road.
