I use his healthbar in Tekken 7 and noticed that his eyes start glowing red once you get rage. It's a nice touch.

Apparently it is different for some characters but so far I could hopkick them all on block.

Is anyone else like this with tekken? This is the only fighting game I have ever felt genuine rage with. I'm garbage at side stepping, trash at understanding my opponent and when they are gonna launch me, can't counter grab for shit, and fuck me if my opponent is a king with his unblockable moves, I keep thinking I can block unblockables and that theres only 1 type of mid and it keeps fucking me, i'm in an honest rut in this game.

Is there anyone who has felt the same? How the fuck do I cope with not understanding half the shit in this game?

I think that means you got out of range of it. Kazuya's is -11. King's might be launch punishable because it leaves his back turned, but I haven't tried it. Paul's is actually + something.

There is no way to defend against characters or situations you don't understand, aside from maybe your own pressure, except that would still demand understanding parts of the game

Try to learn something every match and you're going to be more solid by the minute just by trial and error.
Then look up tutorials and try to learn from those, connect the dots and try not to get to mad about anything

Everyone does stupid shit in low ranks. Beat those people and you get to fight people who are actually playing the characters.

10 to 1 kyu is like freebie warm up ranks. You will get promoted even if you lose. Thus 1 dan is seen as the absolute lowest and comes after 1 kyu.

But yes you can be demoted. Just check a previous thread for the rank chart or google it. I'm sure it'll get reposted eventually too.

There's no reason to not play ranked. If you're not good, you'll be in the low ranks. If you're good, you'll be in the higher ranks. Not playing ranked isn't going to make your rank higher.
