Techno toy tuning makes a bunch of great stuff for the ae86, it's a bit pricey but you can get good quality test pipes, and lightweight window replacements. Basically a bunch of good quality bolt ons

Hill Engineering. Nothing flashy, just improved designs and construction vs. the OEM parts. I wish a company like that existed for major brands. 99.99% of aftermarket parts are absolute garbage.

Depends, for something like suspension upgrades, exhaust, or car audio, yeah I'll go with a reputable aftermarket company. For stuff like sensors, other electrical parts, drivetrain parts, anything rubber, or engine related (but not for performance i.e. water pump or timing components), definitely only OEM. The only exception I have is the MSD coil pack on my car.
