Probably best to not have the translation patch already installed, user. Smarter to just download the patch separately from Dargoth's site so there aren't any problems like when a new update is released.

Kraken was uncooperative and they couldn't brainwash her. Meanwhile, Meia was right there, so she was a convenient replacement.

Is it worth not coming here for 2+ years until the story gets translated? I don't want to get spoiled or have someone figure out and tell me the optimal way to play, but I also don't want to miss out on the revival of this general

but got slowly spoilerd as a peaked into the general here and there over two years so i figure theres no point in resisting it,
this time im going to go play the game with an autotranslator ,

ITH is a text hooker. It gets the nip words from the game and puts it into your copy-pasta.

TA translates nip to england and shows it to you. You would want a dictionary working with that, check a guide on how to do it.

For Save file,Thumbnail + save file should work but i'd give transferring the system save a swell a shot.

For merging we currently have no idea, as it's never been done before in rpg maker but the info will probably come with part 2.

How long until the main story is fully translated, and could you contribute to it being translated (thinking donations) ?

It'll take three to four months tops with Rogue back. That's what I'm going to do. I'll probably come back to check the OP for the newest version of Paradox, but until I play through the story I'm basically going to disappear from here.

I don't think it'll be that quick even with oir lord and saviour Rogue. Especially with the potential diverging paths. Granted there won't be a need to retranslate all the menu+battle text so who knows.

Artee Dargoth and MGL are the only people who regularly contibute to the translation, and Artee's gone until after Part 2 releases.

Wow, three or four months! How did you manage to know how long a project you're not part of will take to make a game that is still not released? Can you predict the future?

Now seriously, it won't take that little amount of time, I assure you. I wouldn't be surprised if it took more than a year. No joke about the amount of things they had to translate with the first game, and I seriously doubt they want to work with translating the second part before the end of summer's vacation.

We don't know yet, just keep an untranslated copy of part 1 handy for now. There'll probably be a merge patch along with part 2.

Assuming he continues at that same pace and does even as little as twelve percent a month of the entire game then yes. I see a main story translation happening in three to four months assuming it has the same story to other content ratio as the first game and nothing gets in the way of the translation. It without a doubt will be quicker than a year. It will without a doubt take over a year for an entire complete translation, but not for a story translation.

Granted that's AFTER a UI translation which includes jobs, races, abilities,skills, and items which could take anywhere from two weeks to a month in it's own right.

Skills are all translated, as are abilities. Unless you mean characters individual cries with abilities, in which case, yep.

Torotoro gave every character individual dialogue for every skill they use, which IIRC was like 33k lines of text.

Each character has an original line for numerous moves and skills. Theres a fuckton of em. TT is insane for the ammount of effort put into it.

I do hope they get TL'd eventually, granted I agree they're low priority.

Doesn't matter if anyone wants em or not, the patch will probably be mandatory for merging part 3 and will contaqin bugfixes. They'll also probably be a pain in the ass for dargoth and co.(Hopefully not as much as before as they've dealt with it before).
