Inline 4

>inline 4
>dual exhaust

>lifted truck
>plainly visible maybe 2" or 2.25" exhaust pipe or thereabouts
>big chrome 6" tip hanging off the end

Should be 4 desu

>4 cylinders
>4 exhaust

2 seats, 4 wheels, 6 cylinders, 8 exhausts.

Ah, sounds like a pinnacle of polish engineering
>a header per cylinder
>four unequal length pipes running the length of the car towards the back
>different bends along the way to accommodate undercarriage
>four separate mufflers
>four separate resonators

I'm morbidly curious to hear how that would sound but it'd definitely run like shit. Would probably feel like one or two cylinders had lower compression

A boy can dream...

What if we put the throttles in the exhaust instead of the intake?

>this Adventures in New Math has been brought to you by Common Core practices and Scholars Aiding Diversity. Remember, if it isn't logical, it's probably SAD!

Correct my autism, but in real life isn't that just a y pipe?

Bigger diesels actually have exactly that so they can engine brake. It's mounted after the turbo and closes off the exhaust, creating a huge backpressure and slowing the engine.

Ooh now we're really out of the box! Individual Throttles in each exhaust, with air intake fed by four exhaust driven turbos?

That's lame compared to a jake brake though. The whole fun of big trucks is they're trundling along and then all of a sudden

JUH-JUH-JUH-JUH-JUH-JUH-BAH-BAH-BAH-BAH-RUH-RUH-RUH
BLAT

Neat!

Autism intact, but just for ridiculousness' sake the four pipes coming off of a longitudinally mounted engine would be super dumb. A Y Pipe would totally cure the stupidity

so it sounds like 4 single cylinder engines?

>Inline 5
>Dual exhaust

One for the turbo, one for the wastegate.

>Not having a high exhaust tip:cylinder ratio.

>inline 4
>quad exhaust

>any amount of cylinders shy of eight
>any amount of displacement shy of four liters
>more than one exhaust pipe

...

Is that the one where on one side it's a resonator with a fake exhaust tip and then it pipes around to the other one that is actually the muffler?
