Turn A/C on

>turn A/C on
>sound system dies

>replace transmission
>doors start locking themselves, draining the battery over night

>toggle sending unit to gas tank
>horn goes off uncontrollably

>CEL comes on
>turns off before you check it

Why?

>push rear window up button
>left speaker comes back on

>buy new tires
>suddenly have to hold the wheel slightly to the left to go straight

Idk

>enrage clutch
>CEL temporarily comes on

>fill gas
>Check CEL light comes in
>fill again
>turns off

>dashboard is a Christmas tree with warning lights
>hit pothole
>all lights go away

>depress clutch
>car slows down out of sympathy

>Turn on A/C
>Lights dim

>turn a/c from 0 to full blast
>stall

>Check CEL Light

>car gets hotter inside
>it's raining outside

>Start car
>idles at just over 2k revs

>right speaker occasionally cuts out
>Only way to fix it is to lower the volume and turn it up again

Could it be from the cold temperatures?

>turn A/C on
>engine redlines

>Enrage clutch

>start engine, forget it's in gear
>engage clutch to avoid stalling
>rear left door locks and unlocks

Every single fucking time and I have no idea why

did u check if the engine didn't fall?

>CEL comes on
>the engine is still there

>hit a speedbump
>check front airbag light comes on
>slap dashboard
>light goes off
>shrug, keep driving

>weeks later, get letter in mail
>dealership recalling my car to replace the takata airbags

>replace blower motor
>turn on defroster
>explodes

>replace it again
>turn on defroster
>explodes

>get another one

I don't even want to replace it, but Chicago winters get very cold...

>Not getting your wheels balanced

Did you sue?

Sue? Why? They fixed it for free. The warning light hasn't appeared since either. The dealership also notified me of the error code and cleared it free of charge.

Atleast alil compensation should have been in order. From what i read They knowingly sold you a defective car.

>turn AC off
>car goes faster
i use this to go up hills and to overtake other cars on the highway

Nope, bought years before the scandal.

>go over 3.5k RPM
>CEL turns on

>hit a pothole
>half of the dash lights turn off
>hit a bump
>they light on again

>turn A/C on
>it actually works

>tfw poverty tier package

Atleast I wont ever have to worry about it breaking

This may not be the place to ask but why do people use AC? Both my vehicles have AC. Never use it. Gets 100°F+ in the summer.
>being a sensitive little bitch
>not rolling windows down to be more connected with the sounds of the road

Also never use my heater, and it gets down to 10°F in the winter. Why are you fellas so gay?

>take corners at high speeds and max grip
>fuel gauge stops working
>have to count the laps and do mental math to make sure I don't run out of fuel mid corner and lift off overmeme into guard rails
>get back on highway to drive home
>fuel gauge starts working
?????

You must look terrible with your sweat stains and messy hair

i use it sometimes, mostly roll with my windows down but at highway speeds the air can be too much

>come to a stop
>stereo significantly decreases in volume

Because I like the pressure in my ears to remain the same, and I don't like not being able to see because there's hair in my eyes.

>engage 6th gear
>transmission is 5 speed manual

>only 10F

*deafening grinding noise*

>Turns A/C on after the engine reached its working temperature;
>Oil light lights up while idling.

>turn AC on
>car almost dies and loses 50% power, practically have to slip clutch to go from stops

Overall I'm just happy my a/c still works. 94 Honda Civic EX with 322k miles.

But is it Ice Cold™?

it is actually surprisingly. I only use it on the highway though. The engine is so worn out it literally sucks to drive in town with the ac on robbing what little power it still has.

>100° burger=37.7 centigrade

Woah, what a tough guy, being insensitive to 38° heat! Must be, what, 120, 130 inside your car? Sugoi desu ne!

Call back when you're someplace where heat is an actual issue, faggot
>MFW living in a tropical zone with constant "extreme" UV indexes, can't go out for more than 40 minutes at a time or get sunburns because I'm not shitskinned enough to take it
>MFW visited a town nearby where the hospital thermometers had to be kept somewhere underground or in a cooler, else they literally burst because they only read up to about 120 burger degrees. They would explode from being inside the "fresh" building, mind you
>MFW high humidity too, because fuck this place
>MFW this incredibly fine dust that gets past the best air filtering systems and fucks with engines, computers, and basically anything that isn't airtight

Have a cute, old little Hilux with no aircon, and it came from the factory with some shitty fake leather, you could easily get burned if it wasn't in the shade. That was a fun one

>lock doors
>doors unlock themselves

>turn blower fans on
>radio turns off

>turn A/C on

>turn key
>nothing happens

A lot of the time it's just your brain fooling you. You would be surprised at how much of your static peripheral vision is actually just what your brain fills in from memory.

>Open the fuel lid from the driver seat, hood opens instead.
Easy to fix though.

>test driving wholesale non-certified cars at an auto lot
>go to turn out of the lot in 1st vehicle, turn signal stalk does nothing
>start 2nd vehicle, sounds like death, 8 or 9 engine codes

Noped the fuck outta there

True story

>Driving my first car 4 years ago
>Mazda Lantis 323 1997
>Car is a piece of junk with every problem known to cars
>Recent problems have been with car battery
>In a traffic jam
>Use the horn
>Car fucking dies in the middle of the highway

>Hit small bump at open road speed
>Engine shuts off, don't even notice
>No power steering unexpectedly
Goodness me.

>Can no longer select anything but no A/C or heat or FULL BLAST
Something electrical has failed behind the dash of my ‘01 Dakota, and I don’t want to crack the dash to find it. Also,
>ABS and e-brake light are on permanently
>E-brake is not engaged and brakes feel fine
Why

>01 Dak
>dash not already cracked
I know what you meant but my 01 Ram's dash is in little pieces.

I ran my poor Ram low as fuck on oil once because I'm dumb. It now takes a little more time to build oil pressure than it used to, but the truck still runs fine. I use high quality oil so I'm not too concerned but I think I may have slightly damaged the oil pump or sucked some gunk into the pickup screen. Oil pressure is fine after startup though.

just like in your video games ay

My car has some volume compensation bs that raises and lowers the volume with speed.

You've scored a main

Well that explains it. What's the fucking point?

>press automatic window button when car is stopped
>windows barely move
>start moving
>windows whizz down

>press both window buttons down at the same time
>nothing happens

lel

>only the driver's side window has an automatic function
Why do so many cars do this? Literally how hard would it be to put the same sort of switch on both windows?

Your alternator is dying.

>get shitbox for 200 bucks
>working on getting it up to scratch for inspection
>notice the hood needs to be slammed hard to shut properly
>mark the position of the latch and remove it
>clean the fuck out of it with carb cleaner and then grease it up good
>put it back on
>hood will NOT shut
>try lowering and raising the latch and it still wont shut
>fuck this, sell it

>bonnet latch has long since broken
>bend the panel slightly so it's held down with only the power of friction and hope
>mfw driving above 80 mph

the absolute madman

>turn on headlights
>cluster lighting and tail lights die

>Apply brake pedal
>Headlights dim ever so slightly.

why

>perceived heat is only dependent on temperature, humidity is completely unrelated
Best example I have is from a few years ago.
>go to Sardegna, Italy
>+40° celsius, humidity 10-20%
>no problem, windows down is good enough
>drive home through Germany
>30° celsius, humidity 70%
>fucking unbearable without a/c
An a/c brings down the humidity too, making it feel even colder than just the temperature drop actually is.
Same effect with cold, humidity makes you feel the temperature more

>hit rock and crush front diffuser
>head unit, car charger, and clock stop working

Probably unseated some electricaks :/

This. If you want even more power put the heat on full blast and open your windows with ac off so the compressor isn't running and your car stays cooler.

Check for electrical gemremlins: bad battery/connections. Autozone/oreillys can help you diagnose the battery for free but just do the connections yourself.

...

>rev car
>headlights glow brighter

>car stalls if I try to crawl on 87 octane
>does just fine on 91

Its like it needs it or something.

>91 is premium in America
Fuck, no wonder it's cheap.

I hope you praise and thank whatever god you believe in everyday for not being a blind, mangled mess.

91 is Premium in Commiefornia. 93 is Premium in most of the rest of the US. Has something to do with the Octane level dropping from the transportation.

It’s a 1.5L n/a Korean 4-banger, basest of the base trims. Nothing about this car is performance-oriented, I’m sure that Hyundai wouldn’t make 91 a requirement on this car. It’s old and worn out and has probably lost some horsepower in its 15 years of abuse. Also it’s manual, so it’s not like it has a fluid coupling to help with slow starts.

Brake booster pulls vacuum, causing energy loss to the alternator. Get a new alternator.

>Have to renew my license tags this month
>Had to cancel my inspection last week because of work shit
>Going to get it inspected yesterday afternoon
>Running errands yesterday
>Check engine light comes on
FUCK YOU

You understand that "super 95" shit they sell in Germany / EU is a RON of 95 which translates to AKI of 90 for us Americans. Our premium AKI is generally 91. And is still a third of the cost than euro poor gasoline.
>having to explain this shit every time

because it gets louder the faster you go?

>turn headlights on
>Radio display light turns off

>Start car on a cold morning
>Windows dont work, defroster doesn't work, hazards don't work, sunroof wont work, e brake light on, battery light on
>Get up to 15mph, stall and pop-start it
>everything now works perfectly
