Even in that video she does substantially less damage than cloud bc he hit 25.5m & 26m and she did 44.6m and 51.3m. If you account for equal turns taken Cloud would do 103m to Aranea's 95.9m.

While other monk-type characters will have better damage potential, he's got a decent equipment and ability spread considering being a monk. Record dive allows sword equipment which is unusual for a monk. SSBs include a crit-ga and his wonky invulnerability break. Imperil burst with healing attached to the commands.
