Take Jew are trying to avoid putting anything on sale it seems. Both X2 and Civ6 DLC are full price still. Civ 6 has been discounted from £50 to £30 (most new games are 30-40...).
Landon Butler
fuck
Jonathan Robinson
Snipers are useful.
Hudson Hill
>(most new games are 30-40...). what world are you living in?
Andrew Rodriguez
>X2 dlcs >full price 50% discount isn't full price, dummy.
Sebastian Rodriguez
>£
Britain m8. The only games I see for £50 are the new FIFA and other shit you find in supermarkets. GTA 5 was £40 on PS3, PS4 and I think £30 on PC. That was 2-5 years ago though...
Caleb Thomas
>activates shields
Xavier Perry
Oh man, I just barely got her.
I really like alien hunters but I do play long war 2 where they are pretty weak.
Parker Stewart
I had alright bought shen's last gift
Noah Turner
/xcg/ will soon play /rsg/ in the RO16 of the VGL 8
Is it worth using a Ranger as a melee-oriented until, or just stick to their Shotgun?
Leo Phillips
For vanilla, stick to the shotgun.
Owen Thomas
See you in a couple of months.
Oliver Lee
>This game will unlock in approximately 2 months
kill me
Isaiah Cook
That's not a sword - that's psi.
Jacob Bennett
Home field, home ball, we got this
Austin Russell
How about in 2?
Caleb Bennett
Close enough.
Ryan Campbell
Looks like a sword to me
Looks like a psionic, too, though...
Grayson Campbell
They really improved on the aesthetic in this dlc. From what i have seen so far of the faction soldiers, I'll say I'm pleased. I think they look alot better than the standard warden armor.
Parker Russell
That's a neat new gun that dude has. Also look at those funky trees in the background, new tileset or whatever it's called.
Looks like Jake listens, a lot of the mechanics and improvements on the expansion sounds like better versions of numerous mods in the workshop.
Cooper Davis
You mean LW2? Yeah, swords on Shinobi are good.
Andrew Robinson
>new tileset I think that's just the place where you're supposed to meet your first Gatekeeper.
Matthew Taylor
Goal Baby
Benjamin Myers
Yeah It's nice to see some devs who geniunely cares for their game and the people playing it.
Jaxson Kelly
These missions are getting harder with all the dark events.
Christopher Walker
How do I consistently win countdown missions?
I feel like I'm always being forced into bad decision making because I basically have to just throw a rookie through barbed wire with yellow movement to shut of a computer or whatever.
Jack Allen
>6 ayys >3 corpses This is not by the numbers.
Angel Phillips
Someone has never had a 8+ reaper chain.
Matthew Cruz
oh it can get worse
Jeremiah Torres
I keep putting shitty expandable squaddie shinobis as my haven leaders, and there were 3 faceless, and a stun lancer that just walked into me. The super faceless ruined me since he had 17 health, and I needed to give him a sacrifice just to kill him in 2 turns.
Aaron Richardson
XCom 2.
Henry Flores
...
Jaxon Diaz
>>That's a neat new gun that dude has.
Yep. It looks really useful too.
Blake Cook
Good job commander
Christopher Moore
less Just kidding user, you are all right
Josiah Diaz
>"Well, fuck." Pretty accurate.
Xavier Johnson
is this vanilla or lw2
Andrew Nelson
Neither I think
Carson Mitchell
thank fuck
Dylan Gray
With this win /xcg/ will move on to the final day for the third time in a row. Lets hope the team learned from the last 2 times and hopefully win the whole thing
Alexander Bell

Joseph Foster
rooting for you
Adrian Thomas
Who else is in it?
Samuel Long
Are those effects removed if you find the ADVENT location causing it and destroy it?
Aaron Harris
>Piratez mod for OpenXCom: >>openxcom.org/forum/index.php/topic,3626.0.html What is this. I've played a lot of OpenXcom. Is this a total conversion mod that turns the game into pirates? The link doesn't have much info, just a changelog and download link. Can I xcom baby acting like a pirate lord?
Yeah It's a total conversion. Shoots the time forward to a post x-com defeat. You'll be spending your time as a Uber Mutant Female Pirates. It is pretty ridiculous, but fun. Certainly worth a shot, though I feel like it's issues have only grown since I last played it. >fetish mod It's meme and not. As in yes, plenty of weird stuff in it, but it's all side flavor stuff, the gameplay changes are huge and the world building is actually surprisingly good.
I really liked the conversion a while back, one of the first people playing it and posting it on the general, and posted my run through the final mission. But honestly, I feel like it is just way to bloated now. It does some very interesting things, but the mod author has been working like crazy to just add more more more into the mod and it's lost it's charm for me.
Josiah Lewis
it's about your army of escapee 7 foot tall pirate amazons who go around kidnapping and enslaving people and shooting down ships for loot
well you won't be shooting down any ships for a while, it has an amazingly scaled strategic layer which gives you a shitty bus at the start and eventually scales to a pirate battleship
so you go from a bunch of losers in a mountain to World Pirates who assassinate Star Lords.
Austin Diaz
The things he does with the systems of OXCOM are amazing.
I'm not saying they're good, mind. He'll probably focus on trimming it down a bit later.
Lucas Cook
>fetish mod >meme
look mate when a great deal of your income is from capturing shota boys and training them and making respectable hostesses who've only sucked the occasional cock into full-on prostitutes, it's not a meme
Lincoln Perez
>He'll probably focus on trimming it down a bit later. Doubtful, though one can hope. desu, if I ever go back and play it, I'll probably just load up an older version. Simpler times when you just raided ships with your large but poorly equipped crew. Weather, the small crews, monster hunts, zombie ufos, bleh. It's all so tedious and decidedly not fun. Even the temple raid grind on my nerves.
I beat through it when prostitution income wasn't even a thing, so I still think of it that way.
Jeremiah Murphy
>snaketits and ">99%chancetohit" are the highest scorers amazing
Ryan Wilson
>fetish mod talk
There's this one for XCom 2. Weird that no one's made a female variant yet.
Sebastian Miller
I'd protect their device, if you catch my drift
Carter White
Go back to /v/.
Jonathan Butler
>one of them has my last name
Michael Jones
its Johnson isnt it
Noah Butler
>waste 50 intel on a facility lead >its in the same region as one I already know
is this how it's supposed to work or did I get memed
Facility leads let you instantly infiltrate facilities even without being connected to them.
Hudson Gonzalez
Must be Nivans.
Zachary Butler
>>gremlin combat protocol doesn't > >What did they mean by this But it does? Combat protocol one shots drones and low hp turrets.
Blake Morales
Oh, fuck. That's amazing, it's like 90 intel out of range and I got salty I wasted 50 on it when it was all I had. Didn't see it had an intel cost til after I clicked research.
Charles Peterson
is there any penalty to civilian collateral damage? These collaborator fucks deserve to die desu
Ayden Brown
>is there any penalty to civilian collateral damage? No, The Commander be praised
Jace Torres
there is no pentalty
Jeremiah Powell
Are you okay, user?
Justin Edwards
Glad I'm not the only one who goes full school shooter then
Landon Cooper
how the fuck do you do vip extraction missions? What's the trick? I got one really early on and I could only get the VIP to the extraction zone and all the operatives were captured I've got another one now and it's fucking nuts. I don't even have magnetic weapons yet and there are 3 mechs, 2 sectoids and 2 officers. I have 12 turns to get across the map and I don't start in concealment. Is it better to just ignore them for a while? Also not being able to just emergency evac without the VIP makes it even more difficult.
Kevin Rivera
You need a conceal ranger so that you can yellow move as often as possible. Besides that full damage spec everyone (including your specialist) and murder fast.
Blake Phillips
I really wouldn't dismiss it like that. Sure it's got some exploitation film flavor, but it's a really good total conversion with a lot of good fairly well balanced options at most stages of the campaign.
I would say it is hands down better than the original campaign, and the best X(-)COM game out there.
I haven't played since .99C though.
The thing I have the most problem with is that he now limits you to two branches of psionics, and the campaign is so long it means you're probably only going to see half of that content. I get that it's for balance and stuff, but that annoys me - couldn't that be balanced another way?
Gavin Barnes
I can't murder fast enough. I get out flanked and bogged down and I miss the evac counter and everyone is left behind. Do I just need to send a squad that is designed for move fast/kill fast? I also have exactly zero rangers at the moment. What do you mean by "conceal ranger"?
Logan Davis
>Can't shoot ay lama who appears to be clearly in LOS >Okay I'll be safe from them >Get shot out of darkness and die >REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE >Panic cascade >Snake cheese two soldiers to death because >Commadah, pull outta dat MISSION >NO FCUKING GODNADK MLADKMJGF >Manage to steal canister with one guy remaining
Do I just pull out after losing two soldiers?
Evan Young
>I also have exactly zero rangers at the moment This is a big problem user. They are the move fast, kill fast class >What do you mean by "conceal ranger"? Rangers get an early skill that's lets them start every mission in concealment, and if your squad is already in concealment, they won't break concealment when the rest of the squad does.
Easton Brown
How is the combat in the LW mod for XCOm2?
I found XCOM 1 LW to slow down the game way to much. It became all about minimizing the chance of alerting squads and OVERWATCH OEVER WATCH OVERWATCH, because the enemies had ludicrous health pools.
Isaac Wood
Yeah I had one starting off but lost him quick (first time in xcom2) I'll remember that they are important. What if the mission starts with everyone revealed? To rangers with that skill remain concealed anyway?
Kevin Jenkins
How difficult is it to port weapons/armor models to xcom 2?
Leo Clark
LW2 is about avoiding combat
Sebastian Moore
>What if the mission starts with everyone revealed? To rangers with that skill remain concealed anyway? Yeah, that's what I'm talking about.
Not anymore.
Aaron Smith
Also, I'm not very far into the game and the avatar program is already just short of halfway. I haven't done the blacksite mission yet either due to not having great soldiers. If I had played smarter and done the mission earlier would that have prevented that? Or is there random mission to reduce it? Cause I feel like a campaign loss is gonna happen soon.
Isaiah Allen
It's hectic at times, but imagine the base game with more ayy subtypes and some advent who mirror xcom soldiers in role. Also more weapon tech levels and equipment.
Worth a try but just like the original long war it's not for everyone.
Chase Roberts
Not him but I couldn't stand having so many soldiers in LW1, is it the same here?
Grayson Williams
Yes, there are more soldiers than the base game. My roster is composed of at least 48 men.
Dylan Cox
When the bar fills all the way up, you get about a month countdown timer to knock down progress. You are doing just fine in terms of the bar, as long as you always have a way to knock it back at least one.
Luis Peterson
Ah, never mind then.
Gavin Barnes
One caveat however, about a third of those are haven liaisons, psions, and "backups." I only really deploy about 28 of them.
Brayden Gomez
How many soldiers per mission, though? It was the starting with 6 and upgrading for more that I hated. It became tedious to micromanage all the fatigue and rotating soldiers in and out, too.
