Allow me to explain, basically, the black background occurs due to the fact the sprite this time unlike the previous games are attached to a model, this model works ingame as a factor to cause the character appear in the overworld with all of the overworld shaders intact, this also works the same with the full body sprites in the previous games. However, there is one problem, this time, the halfbody sprites in V3 are all models basically with a texture attached, simply removing those black backgrounds while ripping is another story. The only way would be to wait until PC release since they will seperate with a model and texture folder just like the full body sprites of the last game.
