Turian carapaces aren't like concrete or crab shells, they don't stop bullets or projectiles (see masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Turian § Biology).

Most likely, they're more like calloused skin: thick and tough yet somewhat malleable. Furthermore, they would likely be quite warmer, having hailed from a planet which has a higher surface temperature, meaning that they would evolve to have capillaries lining their plates in order to disperse excess heat.

This is just pure speculation on my part though. I'm no biologist nor am I a writer for ME. This is just how I think of them.

I was using crab shells to describe the rigidity and texture that turians probably don't have. According to the wiki, turians don't possess any natural armor, whereas crabs do. Crabs also need to shed their shells in order to grow. I don't know of any turians doing so.

Now I have reached the point where they are about to lock in romances (Liam's football game, Peebee's zero gravity, Vetra's rock climbing, Jaal's mum, and Suvi's teadrinking scene) and I am fucked

Who to go with? I like Vetra the moste but I think Jaal would go better with autist Sara, he has the most dramatic scenes (getting shot at by Akksul) compared to Vetra, who was kind of flat
