You know when you spew this toxic shit around, it *surprisingly* doesn't actually help anything. It actually makes the situation worse. Providing constructive and positive posts would go a long way. Remember, monkey see monkey do, when you do something, odds are someone else will follow suite. So when you shit all over your nest, the next person will probably shit all over it too. But when you do something constructive and help the general, the next person will probably want to help out as well.

When someone else does something shitty, you have to resist fighting fire with fire, it's tempting I know but it goes no where. You have to instead point out they are being unreasonable and provide a constructive alternative to their behavior - the second part is the most important part, providing guidance and structure for them to improve on, anyone can be a critic but providing good and quality information for that criticism can have a profound effect.

Remember, change starts with (YOU).

Don't be lazy and hope some single amazing person will materialize out of nothing and will come and fix everything magically. It won't happen, to fix a community, you have to work like a community.

I'm not asking you to turn into some gay reddit hug box. I'm not asking you to pretend to be something you're not. I'm just asking that before you post, ask yourself a question. Does this help anyone? Is this a constructive post? Am I doing my part in the community? If you answered no to anyone of those you probably should revise your post or course of action.

1.12 Forge is so bad it broke mods and they need to be fixed for the same version, so 1.12 is currently a fuckfest.

Fool me once, etc. We've had to prepare for the next 1.7.10 for the past what, two years? The tragic thing is when unique mods like Intangible are lost thanks to this shit.

I really wish they'd stop enforcing the "vanilla standard." It's incredibly obvious that someone in Mojang just has a massive boner for json files, I see no reason for all these recipes to exist as separate files by default. Registering them as ResourceLocations to overwrite, that's fine. Making it harder on everyone just because it's how Mojang does it? Fuck right off.

Same here. I'm also pretty excited about trying Roots 2, revamped Immersive Engineering/Petroleum, and other mods. I've also been looking forward to playing Embers 1.11. My worry is that I'll have to look forward to playing Embers 1.13 before either 1.11 or 1.12 have enough mods to make me interested in making a pack for them.

Forge isn't enforcing JSON recipes, no idea where you got that. Also, forge breaks things early into MC versions every single time. That's why there isn't a recommended build yet. It's still pre-release.

He does have a history of doing it, though. Like 1.11, which was a bigger pain in the ass to update than it should have been, thanks to things like the ItemStack rework causing some really weird behavior.

I been trying out Welcome to the Jungle. There is a macro quest added to the jungle biome supported by its content.

I found the taming branch, but is there a guide for it? I'm not sure how to install or tame things with it.

TFC overhauls the entire world and most systems, scrapping the vanilla system for it's own
Minefantasy just overhauls the player progression, and adds to it, keeping most mods compatible, on resources, it demands about as much as Immersive Engineering

It also has a decent ingame guide, which should explain everything

Never tested it myself, but there should be no problems, Minefantasy doesn't add any biome

So far it seems that the ore and structures are genning fine but not the trees ;_:

Environmentaltech doesn't require any addon to show what the miners can produce; what versions are you using?

Comfy mods would be nice, stuff that like barrels and misc furniture because that stuff is my favorite and part of the reason I love TFC so much, because of all the nice shit like barrels and tanning racks and so on your house actually looked lived in
