If you have a funny story to tell, then yes, otherwise don't bother.

A crack ship is just a pairing that isn't 'usual' or the characters don't interact enough to make it a regular one, either by limited interaction or difference in character, so showing how it happened can give it a better foundation to stand on. Either you describe how it bagan for a more believable and deep characterization or you go the sex-only route, but both are viable to different audiences.

Completely depends on the tone and style you intend for the piece to have.

Guarding doesn't just reduce damage from attacks, it increases your chance to dodge, Shadow Teddie's Nihil Hand for instance requires you to dodge it by guarding. Holding a shield up would make it harder to dodge.

After Jaldy, the Shadow Ops are called in to ake sure nothing Shadow-related remained in Tokyo. They discover the PT and they take them to Joker so he can explain everything. The Ops send Labrys to get his report.

Because of the extraordinary circumstances regarding Labrys in general, then I would probably consider putting some work into explaining how they're going to meet. On the other hand, you should still consider the tone and style. Like if she seems like a normal girl that flirts with him until she pounces on him and mounts him with her robotic strength, not focusing on the backstory would mirror the abruptness of their encounter.

Also, I'm curious about how you feel writing about a character you love. I usually don't do that.

Guarding actually forces you to take the hit, reducing it as a compensation. It also blocks weakness hits and status effects. Only specific attacks are nulified by guarding, it's an exception not a rule
