Why is this 70 thousand dollars?
Why is this 70 thousand dollars?
my friend's dad just bought a shelby f150 and it's hard to not talk shit
Because pic related still exists.
A base model F150 is $35k. Fords are stupidly overpriced. Add in a "fancy" interior and there's your $70k. $70k gets you a nice 6.2 or Duramax Silverado.
Probably fully loaded, has ever package
Rather have a 5.0 if I was going with a truck
pic related must be made of money
Naw. He drives the $90k king ranch F350.
This is the guy who spends 45 minutes in O'reily
Yeah, naw. That guy drives a single cab toyota or old chevy.
Pic related is why that truck exists.
...
pic related is who actually drives the truck, lives with his parents and pays 30% interest on the loan
This guy looks like eminem on roids
5.0 over a Ecoboost. But that 5.0 car motor has nothing on the 6.2.
because people want every single option. that's what it costs. my dad is the guy that buys the fully loaded f150 and doesn't even know how to pair his phone. adaptive cruise, 13 thousand air bags, moon roof, heated everything, hid headlights, grandma assist step on the soft close tailgate, cameras - ALL WHEEL DRIVE - people don't know when to use 2wd or 4... why do you think it would cost less? people have demanded this shit and Ford is just delivering the most badass fully loaded underutilized truck they can offer.
False, those farmers drive F250s and 350s, Duramax HD or Cummins Ram, anything diesel powered because most of their equipment on the farm is diesel powered. Maybe not spanking new ones, but they drive large medium and heavy-duty diesel-powered trucks many regular cab with a 5th wheel on the bed.
t. OTR Amerifat truck driver who runs the midwest
... you got me
... do they run their trucks on red dye diesel?
this dbag drives a black fx4 with whatever black wheels the local tire shop had on the shelf. what offset? huh? they're black right?
I wouldn't be surprised if the Hutterites and Mennonites do. They're sneaky fuckers.
>Prime
>runs the Midwest
I will now be even more paranoid in my NC and on my motos.
You speak truth, however. Farm diesel may be red, but locking fuel caps prevent the tax man from sampling the main tank.
If I want serious power I would get the 6.7 diesel
thats a funny way to spell 6.0
I have watched them fill up on red dye, even large tractors like what I have, almost always they have locking fuel caps. The general rule of thumb, is don't snitch. None of us are perfect.
DOT will only catch you if they see you filling up at one or if they want to be dicks on a roadside inspection, which is never, they have bigger fish to fry than some guy putting red-dye in a personal or commercial vehicle. Mostly they are after real safety violations like bald tires and unsafe equipment. Those are the things that get you pulled in for inspection.
Don't worry I'm one of the safe ones, no moving violations on my driving record 16 years running. I primarily pick up in the Midwest and bring to the coasts, there's good money in that kind of route. One of my favorite trips is running from Liberal KS to OKC, it's wide open and you get to see real America, the farmers and small towns that form the backbone of this country. I stopped at a mom-and-pop co-op in Lucerne KS and watched a farmer pay for fuel with a check.
>anything made after the 7.3 IDI turbodiesel
Neck yourselves.
Because you touch yourself at night
7.3 is a close second to the 2006 6.0. but the 6.0 is literally the epitome of diesel trucks. you can not get better than a """"bulletproofed"""" (fixing the few design flaws) 2006 6.0
I figured I'd just give you a little guff m8.
>Liberal, KS
I had to go through there several times to get all my stuff moved from New Mexico up to Des Moines. I'm glad they repaved some of 54, because when you have foot-deep potholes on a highway that has no shoulder with rigs running 70 it gets interesting. Still need to fix the part near the NM/TX border though. The Kansas stretch ain't bad though.
>(you)
it's L I M I T E D bro
>54
Some of those bull haulers on that road are going well over 70 I've clocked them on my Bendix in-cab at 85mph in some spots. I've ran it a couple times usually I find my way on 59 to dodge the I-44 toll road through Oklahoma, it depends on the time of day and what load I have
>bull haulers
They haul the goddamn mail in NM and TX. When you watch one of them pass a couple of other trucks on a 2-lane stretch it makes you wonder how much speed they're on or how much they're being paid.
They will touch 100 in Wyoming on 80
Yeah fuck that. Thanks for the warning if I ever drive through that state.
Wow that's Cadillac Escalade territory.
Funny thing is that a fucking pickup offers more "luxury" features than an Escalade.
Because Ford needs to make money on SOMETHING. They sell so many vehicles at next to no profit to fleets that any foreign company would be fined for dumping. So to make up for the lolnomoney problem, they simply assrape anyone dumb enough to buy their shit.
My brother in law just recently bought a new truck. I never actually realized just how fucking expensive they could be. 2017 Ram 1500 Limited was almost 67k. Just think of all the civics you could buy for that.
Gotta build something to access all that baby boomer pension money. All the old senile faggots around here drive these big ass trucks for absolutely no reason.
