takes more than a few matches to get good with a weapon you know. grenadiers in particular play differently than hitscan and even stuff like the LSTAR. read up on how to play them and try again

I use the EPG more than the cold war too, but it's just low tier, not garbage. Use grapple or stim, and don't use it in the open unless you're above people.

How can't you use it, it's projectile easy mode

The coldwar is tricky to use.

In order for it to really be usable you require the following:
>Above enemies
>Enemy near surface
>Safe distance
>good connection speed

It's a bit restrictive, but in modes like BH and attrition, it's a beast. It's not a very forgiving weapon, so you will make mistakes and badly when you start using it.

Stay high and fast and you'll thrive.

Nuclear eject, and run forward unto the first titan you see

If the titan sees you, Arc wave him, fire all scattershots at him, reload THEN phase shift, get to the opposite side of your target, if you can drop a smoke, it'll appear in reality, shoot your target more.

If you feel you can take him, keep pushing, and set your ronin to have two arc wave uses. Use your second arcwave, and shoot him again.

If you feel you can't take him, then dash out, blocking and walking backwards while dash cools down.

Never get sword happy, and use cover and movement to your advantage. Bully the titan, make him mad, make him come to you. If there's more than one titan, flee. If your teamates are already engaging a group of titans, try to flank rather than rush headlong.

always keep moving, do not be afraid to run, remember sword core can let you keep constant pressure to a titan simply through its speed, even more so with arc wave, which is upgraded.

Also want to clarify a few things that we bamboolzed you on.

Some balance changes slipped through that were unintentional. As we mentioned in the patch notes we are still debating and testing internally what the final changes will be and they will be implemented in the next DLC drop. They have been turned off and things should revert back except for a couple things:

Amped Weapons: We felt Amped Weapons have been problematic for a while in Titanfall 2 so we put it on a 30 second timer so it's at parity with how other boosts operate.

Stalkers: Stalkers will also cause damage when you run over them with your Titan. This is intended we wanted to prevent one Titan from dominating a drop zone by just dashing over it.

so phase is back to 2 charges, stim back to normal, cant move through friendly reapers. guess thats coming next patch? dunno why they dont just put it in now, its the obvious balance decision. at least for phase and the reaper thing.

I think the Double Take looks cooler.

i think monarch is surprisingly balanced for a titan with the most customization. mostly because of how weak they start offl you need to get at least 1 core to be on the same level as other titans.
thats not to say a level 1 monarch cant beat other titans, you can of course, but against a competent player you will be at the disadvantage at level 1.

i do think the superior chassis could use a small nerf maybe

no, because a good monarch will hit your crit point nonstop, while continually shielding theirs with their hitscan arc wave, which is also an opportunity for them to do free damage, since you can't see shit. when they're critting and you can't, it more than makes up for the level 1 "weakness". monarch's only real weakness is that she doesn't have a delete titan button, which makes her broken in situations where those delete titan buttons aren't an option.
