The last thread filled up pretty quickly, so here's a new one.
ITT: >Finishing the exterior >(more) Ideas for the graphics and shit >Region specific body panels >(hopefully) Starting the interior >Engine and drive train shit >Maybe name and logo

Legendary engine selection, how much does Veeky Forums think this thing is going to weigh?
Jackson Bennett
Can the WAT version be re-badged like shelby and mustang?
Ian Martin
That really depends. What's it made out of, and what are it's dimensions?
I imagine this think roughly somewhere between an S13 and an R32 in terms of size. My guess would be around 1200 to 1300kg, does that sound fair?
Brandon Lee
>Legendary engine selection >No rotary
What did he mean by this?
Andrew Ross
Sounds about right.
Cooper Davis
Can we please have rotard service in some form? Even if it's a hybrid with rotary backup?
Zachary Phillips
Also gotta ask, are the top and bottom side on pics different in terms of height? Because the bottom one looks way leaner and way nicer IMO.
Failing that, the back end looks a bit too lumpy and bulky. I would recommend doing something to angle the B pillars forwards a tiny bit so you could bring the big back hatch forward a little, might make it a bit leaner looking.
Blake Smith
>Top trim turbo I6 is GT-x (Gran Turismo autoX) >alternate top trim triple Dorito is GRT-x (Gran Rotary Turismo autoX)
I kinda liked the old headlight design, can they come back for a region?
Asher Hughes
Fuck it,the WAT version will have a Dorito then :^)
I'll see what I can do.
Nathaniel Price
Father my children user I love you
Isaiah Lewis
What we're the old lights like? Also I've always found is weird whenever I see upates for this project that the popups aren't more Trueno styled, with a Civic styled front bonnet covering the grill to line up with the folded down lights, yknow what I mean?
Benjamin Brooks
Sure.
Brayden Morris
Overall I'm really liking the way this is taking shape. Love the headlights, love the overall shape, love the taillights, glad the rear wheel cover is an option, so forth.
This might be my Skyrine fanboyism flaring up, but have you tried having the hood shape inverted instead? So instead of the centre part of the hood dipping down its raised up a little? Just an idea. Also, thoughts on spoiler designs? A lip spoiler would work great, but an R32 styled spoiler might worn as well.
Easton Morales
Why can't we have it both ways on this one? Make it SUPER easy to disassemble with basic tools in your garage so that it's really easy to do these mods.
Christopher Russell
Old lights were 92 Trueno lights, admittedly. Fuck yea
Sebastian Davis
Everybody here has a right to have a suggestion. But, it helps if you provide some reference photos when making those suggestions :D:D:D
Anyway, spoilers aren't a priority right now, but since I just made the boot a little more prominent by making the glass shorter, there is more room now.
Matthew Edwards
>base model has SOHC 16v PFI >sell HOP-UP(tm) part assemblies, DOHC head, MPFI intake >make it really easy to swap out parts and help people learn to wrench themselves >class racing with regulated HOP-UP parts allowed My dikk is diamonds Have we even named it yet?
Ethan Gray
Yeah I'm on mobile and I'm literally laying in bed at 1:30am so I'm not really in the position for reference pics, but I'll try next time I'm on.
That back end looks a bit better I reckon. The little AE86 style boot lip looks nice. The section that kind of bothers me though is the top of the glass, where the rear window meets the roof. I dunno why but that section feels like it should be almost immediately sloping back and it doesn't seem to. If you did mess around with it though I'd recommend having the boot glass extend all the way to the back of the car like the OP pic. Doing that on top of the already reduced bootleg from this pic might make it end up looking strange.
Michael Hernandez
ass end louvers and whale tail inspiration
Brody Fisher
The louvers look funny if it's an all glass bubble on the rear hatch. Where would they attach?
I also think the middle of the car is a bit too long, the door area, it seems stretched.
Juan Russell
OP, do you have a way I can contact you? (throw-away email), discord, etc.
I have some questions about 3D rendering and I don't want to post off topic stuff.
Ian Jenkins
Discord: MegaRingstar
Brandon Williams
Yeah fuck we need a name
Owen Anderson
i tried adding you, says it needs your 4-digit tag, too >MegaRingstar#????
or add me as a friend oanon#5373
Julian Phillips
The Toyitsubishonda Jackal?
Adam Miller
>I4 turbo >130 hp Too little, I'm thinking more like 170-180
>I6 turbo 2.0 >270 BHP Too much, I'm thinking more like 230-240
Charles Bennett
I've always liked naming things after greek mythology. Two names i'm partial to that haven't been over used are:
The Enyo - Greek Godess of war Or The Aeolus - Greek god of wind
Hudson Baker
the 2.0 engines seem really extreme for the time
RB20DET had 210 RB20DE put out 150
theyd be some incredibly high strung engines
not worried about it too much since this is fictional just the ol autism acting up
they just attach to the top like on Probes and shit I imagine
Julian Morris
Seeing as pppp man drew it, I suggest we name the model after him:
> Quattropace (kwa-tro-pah-che) means "four-peace", denoting both the website it was born on, and the legendary in-line straight four budget shitbox engine it originally shipped with, the 'pace had no problem "keeping the pace" with its competitors at 24 hours of citrus flavor beverage, the real question is what will the future bring when its new corporate owner yum! brands installs a loco-taco six-pack engine and takes it to NASCAR.
Now the question is the make, what call our company?
Brandon Williams
Oh and forgot to mention yes it us a play on "pace/pachay" sound and a nod to the thread bringing peace to all the autists.
Wyatt Sanders
This is perfect. As for company name, Ochizu
Shortened from Ochizumu, anglicized as Otism, a play on Autism. Or, it is according to Google translate.
Lincoln Smith
>"pace/pachay" this is good
Gabriel Perez
Youre mixing sushi with Mediterranean, maybe a more continental name if you dont want a full spaghetti maker?
Joseph Turner
Good call Let's go with , The Enyos Quattropace
Daniel Lee
Seeing as this is more like a comfy but fast grant tourer I second Aeolus (also honored that a greek name might make it since I am greek). How about:
>Solace >Royale >Spectre
Just some suggestions
Bentley White
How about keeping the Enyos brand name and calling the car "Equinox" or smth idk
Liam Reyes
>obligatory treequinox joke We've got the name, Quattropace, just need the manufacturer.
Brayden Bailey
Oh ok Do we need a european name or something more burly and murican?
Isaiah Morgan
Like said, we need something Italian-ish.
Brayden Morales
Im nominating Holden. I know its been done before, but,
1. It sounds British, yet quirky enough to di something like a delorean-styled jap-powered shitbox 2. Its two syllables to the qtpc's four syllables, you really do have to think abiut balance.
Whether we choose holden or not, we should think about name balance. The best names balance maker and model, think about 1. Lamborghini Diablo or Countach vs Lamborghini Murcielago
2. Ferrari Testarossa vs Ferrari Enzo or F430
The more balanced names stand out, repeating long syllables and unobvious pronouncing/spelling hurts the readers likelihood of remembering it.
Josiah Young
>at 24 hours of citrus flavor beverage
Austin Reyes
We could go full spaghetti Western
Sketti Quattropace
Sounds like Scoda Yeti, is an abomination, also the Veeky Forums meme name for spaghetti
Ryan Perez
TurboGeff mk XXIV Ultra
Brody Mitchell
How about Grassetto or Veltezza
Grassetto = Bold Veltezza = Swiftness
Levi Carter
What does Sketti mean?
Anthony Sanchez
if the manufacturer is Japanese Veltezza wouldn't be too bad t. Italian
Thomas Edwards
This car looks like its from the 80s...like the Celica Supra.
Does it come with recaros or brides? Also will the interior be high or low quality?
Nolan Moore
Enyos sounds too shitty, seems like a name that a sand nigger ''car company'' would use.
Jackson Green
Your car, your name. What about ?
Aiden Smith
Too close to Altezza
Caleb Evans
Our car, my nigga :)
Grassetto Veltezza sounds good enough to be the full brand and model name.
Mason Hernandez
Suki Blyata
Joshua Gutierrez
B-bro.. I'm all for Grassetto Veltezza, sounds like Nip-Italian.
Camden Diaz
trust me, those names would be retarded for an Italian car, they're too pretentious
Ryan Price
>Ferrari Enzo Ferrari >guy names car company after himself >later down the line company has a car named after founder ONLY the Italians could be this pretentious.
Samuel Perez
but a Ferrari is not a shitbox
Jayden Kelly
I'm pretty firm on Quattropace
Jose Rivera
Targa top and roof spoiler when
Carter Davis
Model this next please
Zachary Thomas
maybe different names for different regions. like the thing.
Carter Evans
>Solace gud
Brayden Miller
Probs, yeah
Jonathan Hall
Maybe one t,
Sketi Quattropace
Henry Sanders
How about Fredero for the make. I've always wanted a car named Fred
Christian Rivera
perhaps not.
Andrew Smith
HOL UP what engine will it have?
Eli Walker
yeah, naming a company after a tripfag sounds like a great idea
i vote for frostbyte
Isaiah Ramirez
Maybe a 4x4 rally version could be called that?
Connor Powell
more like some LS swapped special edition with a huge ass rear wing
Kayden James
Factory LS swap you say?
Lucas Sanders
Some tongue in cheek Italian names
1. Lacerati > $100k? Tis but a flesh wound
2. Stancia > When the going gets rough, chavs steal your hubcaps
3. Mamalucatsi > Edde-heh edde-fuggu, ah?
Elijah Myers
Its actually Sveltezza (forgot the S) but it actually sounds good
Jackson Cooper
roof spoiler is a great look
Parker Evans
it sounds fruity as fuck
Elijah Rodriguez
Where does "quattro" come from? Is it awd?
Aiden Robinson
follow thread
Lucas Hernandez
Its supposed to be a nod to Veeky Forums
Luke Hughes
What would the names for the special editions be?
Like one of the higher trims would be called something like Grasseto Grande Grande being the trim level
Jackson Howard
And based on the translation, it actually makes sense "bold swiftness"
Lucas Turner
Its another way to say "spaghetti"
Camden Morales
where the fuck are the S U P E R T U R B O decals?
Gavin Walker
I've been doing some work on the underside.
Matthew Evans
Have we decided on a brand name?
I guess I can sketch up a badge if a name is decided
William Taylor
Working on super tarbo
Christian Peterson
...
Charles Butler
WAT automotive
Michael Sanchez
those rear arches look horrible my dude, the fenders have to start from way higher up to look aesthetic.
Eli Collins
i'm sure the imaginary dealer would love explaining to every fucking single imaginary buyer what does W in WAT stand for
Connor Watson
definitely need to bring that box arch for the rear fenders higher
Nathaniel Peterson
please, quattropace is a double lawsuit from Audi and Jaguar, stop fucking around, thats such a stupid name.
Just call it the hoon or something Veeky Forumstistic but in good taste.
Landon Gray
>Holden it would be a nice nod to the brand, but i think it needs to feel more Veeky Forums
so have the name start with o, like: >Olden >Odin >Odan >Oden >Oudin
this looks nice i wanted to suggest neon colors/laser grids/etc for ads or the car in the desert, at sunset (which that already looks close enough to)
Jeremiah Torres
What does WAT actualy stand for?
Kevin Carter
Can't wait o buy my 2020 Chano Turbo WAT-Edition.
Isaac Foster
WAT Automotive Technologies
Dylan Turner
wat stands for "wat automotive technology" theres a guy from the /osg/ threads who bought a CRX and raced it under that team name, lotta stickers from it and it became a really nice sorta thing that we have going on
watracing.com
Cooper Carter
*Tarbo
Jacob Nguyen
nigga WAT existed long before /osg/ or even watracing
Chase Roberts
maybe we can get those /rich/ boys to stop porsche-posting and put some money in to make this real.
I didn't know that, could you tell me the lore then? I havent been here very long
Hudson Stewart
What's with those anaemic ass engines? A modern NA 2 liter can make up to 200HP easy, then why is the base engine 100hp?
