So uh am I right in thinking Etrian Odyssey 1 is basically caused by...pollution? Games not clear on the nature of what science lead to the apocalypse.

So then some scientists make a huge ass tree to suck up the pollution or whatever. One survives by fusing with the tree somehow and everyone else dies because of the pollution.

As the tree gets swole life starts gathering around it and land starts forming leading to the strata we see.

I think that about covers it...

I've recently started my first EO game (EU release of EO1) and the grind almost killed me. So I've looked into AR/cheat codes and found out that US release has better cheats (marked on the pic related). Unfortunately, the font used in the US release kills my eyes, so I just physically can't switch versions.
I'd love to have these codes for the EU version, does anyone have usrcheat.dat with them?
Pic related is from the latest usrcheat.dat I could find on gbatemp, namely filetrip.net/file.php?id=33465

In the worst case I should be able to port them between regions myself, but I'd rather not spend a day on reinventing the wheel if it's already been done before.

EO was naver too big and EO1 aged especially bad. EOU classic is pretty much a straight upgrade.

If you don't want to grind constantly go with Immunize + Defender. It will reduce most damage down to nothing so after the first stratum there is barely any need to grind.
Just kill all FOEs along the way and pretend that's not grinding.

one of the DS emulators (forgot which one) includes a patch to fix the font in EO games. Dunno if it supports cheating, given the state of DS emulation, but that would probably be the easiest way to have your cake and eat it too. Otherwise enjoy patching your ROM boyo

Searched it up haven't really tried EO3 post game yet because the subclasses are confusing, all I know is that Ninja + anything = infinite TP, unlike EO4 which is overall easier especially with Night Seeker

I'm pretty sure neither is part of the Yggdrasil project.

EOIV's tree is indicated to have been build indepedently by the survivors in Hall of Darkness meaning as opposed to Etria's and HighLagaard's which were planned and at least partially constructed before the apocalypse.

EMD's tree was not part of the Yggdrasil project and EMD2's tree will very likely follow suit.

So with the Gotham tree that got exploded off-screen we know about three of the trees Ricky is talking about.
So barring other bullshit trees that would mean at least four more trees that we need to deal with.
