Been happening to me in my F-84. Wingroot gets fucked up, usually by a bomber gunner, and then whenever I use the elevator it just fucking yaws like nobody's business.

If the engines are on the wings (as they usually are in multi-engine planes that aren't fighters), dropping one would cause a huge weight imbalance and fuck with the plane's ability to fly.
