Alright, just tested it. The route exclusive companions like Eden and Lucifina/Michaela carry over into New Game+, even if you choose a different partner. This seemed like the likely outcome, but I know there were still other people who weren't sure.

Not sure about the Cowtits Fish since they technically suffer from the same problem of huge tits (and, in comparison, they're more, uh, "elegant" and reliable in their attitudes compared to the pirates), but the Tatsunokos should be fine. Neither of them are apparently considered mermaids, mind you, going by how they didn't leave the navy when the Queen Mermaid called for all mermaids to gather under her.

There seem to be a fair number of encounters that are route-specific.

I'm actually going to restart part 2 with my end of part 1 save (rather than NG+ which does send you to the start of part 1) and do it properly at some point in the future.

Only on Normal difficulty though... the difficulty spike in part 2 vs part 1 is positively insane. Even on only Very Hard or so, the end of part 2 enemies were hitting as hard and had as much health as the LOC superbosses.

Nah, it's skippable. You're specifically warned not to fight the Admiral if you chose the Pirates.

Either way, you can fight the Admiral even if you joined the Navy and you can recruit if you've got Selene.

Really? Didn't feel like it. The only one I had difficulty fighting against was Sonya Chaos (her form before that still being manageable). Even La Croix' zombie puppets weren't much trouble for my team (Eden a BEAST).

I didn't encounter anything from La Croix, and I had Ilias so I didn't have to fight Eden.

Might've been exaggerating the damage I was taking a little bit, but still 2k-ish AOEs and 3-5k single target hits, on only around Very Hard. Their health was still a bit higher with the last few bosses on that difficulty.

You need the Remina Keycard, which Ilias steals from a scientist while the White Rabbit was showing you a vision of the past Remina. You also need that keycard to open the door in the Tartarus, which gives a key item that unlocks the Greater Apoptosis race.

Not sure if the keycard was missable, but I'm pretty sure I got it from talking to one of the scientists close to the end of the hallway. If you talked to all the people in the hallway, chances are, you have the keycard. La Croix is located in the area southeast of the Gold Region Tartarus Pit.

Using the same skill to buff repeatedly doesn't stack, it just extends the duration. However, using a song of defense + mass enhance guard + saints protection will stack because they're all different skills.

this can get confusing since its possible to overfill the buff bar to the extent that you can't see all the buffs present on a character
eventually it becomes muscle memory though
you can stack sky dance, an offensive song, and a power up like transform together in one turn and have the buffed character deal hilarious amounts of damage. bonus points if the character has a double-proc trait or item and also has something like slime division active so it casts/activates the buffed abilities 4/8 times consecutively

Nah it's random, the first two tartaruses are roughly the same size, but the difference in events was huge.

Well, the second one is presumably Paradox world, just in the past. Just because it's not a horrible apocalypse, that doesn't mean the changes aren't big; it's still the same world where Ilias disappeared and Heaven fell down.

That's not the point, it's how they compare to the original timeline and how events in that could have transpired. Ilias invading if Luka failed at Iliasburg is entirely within the realm of possibility of the VN. The second world while we only see Rostrum is likely similar to the Paradox main world where a lot of changes still happened.
