What 4 door V8 should I buy?

I'm buying a truck finally.

I need

>4 doors
>V8 (diesel or gas, I don't have a preference)
>4 wheel drive that's good offroad, My cabin is pretty remote and usually have to walk in instead of drive. I'd prefer to drive

What do you suggest?

I was thinking of a 90's 7.3L

Good choice if you have deep pockets

Any GMT400 or GMT800 chassis trucks. Rock fucking solid vehicles.

post your local craigslist. how much can you spend?

Budget?

7.3s have silly levels of value retention.
Buy it now, sell it in 5 years for the same price.

I don't have a set budget, Under 60 would be great.

Most of the 90s Ford crew cabs were long bed, which don't exactly turn well in tight areas. 7.3 after 1994 is near bulletproof. I had a '97 7.3 and now have an '03 7.3 that I plan to keep forever.

Wanted to add that if your cabin is very remote and winters are very cold, you might want to make sure you can plug in a block heater for your diesel. If no power available where you park, I'd probably get a gas engine.

>I need

no, you don't

...

yuropoor detected

I hear the 7.3 is basically indestructible as well, like with proper maintenance it will easily last the average lifetime of most owned vehicles (about 10 years). Same with GM's 2.2l Ecotec.

Those engines deserved better.

Considering you forgot a small detail such as price, I recommend a 2018 Ford f350 diesel, Platinum edition. It's exactly what you need for those demanding Costco trips

My landlords have a Costco truck. It’s a Ram 3500 dually but they no joke jam the bed full of shit every trip

You don't need a dually for that. On the real, if your budget is 60k, why are you getting a truck? Is it for towing a boat or appearances or are you a foreman?

smart motherfucker desu

Dodge Ram

Anemic garbage. You're fucked if you need anything electronic. They're a dead product. There'll be tons of people telling me I don't know what I'm talking about though.

>Under 60
Literally any brand new 3/4 4x4 work trim you want.

90s ford f-150. Best trucks ever made.

This is the car you need.
It's amazing in off-roading.
If you need 8 cylinders and 4 doors, get two.

What mpg would you expect to get?

no, from the land of rednecks

OP doesn't "need" a big ass bubba tank, he could get by with a used 4x4 Geo Tracker

old panda a best

None of these are 4 doors.

I have a generator out there.

Can't you still buy 90s ford parts from ford dealers?

I bought a bumper to my dads 2001 F150 last year still brand new from the ford dealer.

>You're fucked if you need anything electronic.

If you're talking about PSOM's they're only an issue if you're retarded and can't drive manual, even then there people whom resolder and rebuild those units.

Also powerstroke 7.3s aren't nothing to laugh at. The 6.0's are the shitty ones.

love em
