When is someone going to put it in a Toyobaru?

They're really only available to local and professional race teams it seems.

why would you do that when you could just buy a B18B get some ARP headstuds and make way more power than a new Type R

Just spend 19 grand on a hellcat hemi instead, and run 7s

>type r
>the shitty turbo one that redlines at 7k
WRONG ENGINE

>get BTFO by 2 wheels and 600ccs

Quality post

wtf is all this new faggotry

>he can't have fun

probably all from the same fag

despite my autism and lurking Ive only seen the pasta once and it hasnt been posted that much

no one cares about some tards thats seen everying on Veeky Forums

>Fake vtec

How is it fake VTEC?

because VTEC is all of the lag and none of the boost

boost is all the VTEC and some of the lag

you might be able to win a drag race.. but try racing your $500 shell in a race on a mountain pass or curvy country road and you'll lose by a mile

Why wouldn't a 'shell' that's literally half or a third of the mass of the other cars smoke them all on a mountain with the right suspension??

For the same reason modern BMW 3 series have subframe issues, that shitbox frame will be battling against the weight of all those components, gravity and the immense g-forces it's subjected to.

for 6 grand you could just sti swap. I bought the donor for my car out of a 14 sti for 3k with 50k on it

Newfags could learn a lot from this post.

>to the CRANK

but no mounts yet user.

Yfw there was a 1978 Challenger

What kind of simple mods are you on?

>the smoke is my clutch

Meh fuck that. I've already absolutely torched a type r in my boosted prelude.... and preludes are heavy to begin with. For 6500 i could build a 9 second civic easy. 600whp in a eg would get you there. All you'd need is a built bottom end and a run of the mill setup everywhere else with a gt35 or so.

Tbh i was disappointed after walking off from it, i thought they would be faster cars. Not even close. Pic related.

>si cluster
Why is this still in the copypasta? Clean that shit up f a m

>not doing recreational clutch swaps to learn to know your car better

>smoke corwette
>not swap into corwette

eww...

>driving a fwd car ever

Can I put that in my Corolla ?

>$6500
>300hp

Wew Honda fags really are delusional.

Know a guy that swapped this into an e36
smokes e60 545's and tuned imprezas

>buy a hellcat
>destroy import boypucci with warranty

Jej

That's really not surprising. It's probablyy easier to work on and more reliable too.

What's the point of a sales announcement if you basically need to be a professional Honda driver to even purchase one?

Is this just some kind of dick-waving loss-leader type thing? What they really should do is just find a price that makes the factory in Ohio a good profit that Honda HQ in Japan finds acceptable and sell one to every wannabe Ken Block and 3K Civic ricer out there.

There's no fucking reason unless you want exclusivity through artificial scarcity.

>'69 'cuda shaker scoop

A B18B pushing 300HP isn't going to be reliable or have a warranty.

Can I put it in a cr-z?

90s Civics have pretty good chassis and suspension setups, you can make them handle very well for relatively small amounts of money.

>yfw the new civic is more american than most new 'muscle' cars

Newfagay at it again

>replace honda pasta with boomershit
ima laffin

its 300hp thats fucking nothing

a LS with arp headstuds will make 300whp all day long let alone at the rank

and at least you can buy it without being part of some special program

and the Type R crate has no warranty

you are pic related of internet

you could make 300 with a turbo b18 but why not go h22 or k20?

>and the Type R crate has no warranty
You fucker my warranty is bigger I'll rip you on the track with my massive fucking warranty you bitch

an ls should be making at least 300hp stock unless there's something wrong with it

h22 a pigfat
k20 a much more expensive

LS is the king of budget Honda power

LS makes 140 hp

oh shit sorry wrong ls, k20s can be had pretty cheap but the best one the k20a2 is usually around 2 grand, k20a3s can be had for 500-1000 sometimes and h series is fine if you're only concerned with straight line power

Challenger with a 1.6L
omfg hahahahhaa

Nova with 1.3L

They handle well because the chassis is lightweight and the D or B I4 is neither very heavy nor torky. You massively increase the amount of torque on a car with those paper-thin subframes and go out on twisties, you will quickly get cracks in the frame itself.

>
>not a SOHC
Why tho?

>What's the point of a sales announcement if you basically need to be a professional Honda driver to even purchase one?
Because Honda doesn't want anyone to actually buy one.

If they sold a a Civic R crate engine, everybody would buy it and swap it into the Civic Si.
The R looks fucking atrocious; the Si looks sporty, but not "designed by a 12-year-old boy" ricey.

This desu.

My most recent jegs catalog has like 50+ engines with over 300hp for way less than what OP paid. Add to that the fact most of them can be thrown into just about anything nowadays.

Is that the turbo or supercharged Cobalt?
Because a turbo Cobalt SS beating an R34 isn't all that surprising.

Which LS makes only 140???

For 6k might as well just strip a k24 accord and turbo it

this one

Built by Mitsubishi.

Isn't the 2018 Accord sport going to come with a detuned Type R engine with a smaller turbo?
In a couple months I'm sure someone can find a wrecked/salvaged Accord to borrow an engine from
