$5000 challenge 2004 WRX Wagon 2005 Cooper S JCW 2005 Civic SI EP3
I need a daily driver with good gas mileage and utility. I'm also in design school and it's hard to not be biased about the Mini's looks. All cars are around $5000 and 150,000 miles.
What should I choose?
My current car is a 92 Civic VX hatch, getting tired of it getting broken into even with my alarm.
>I also work at a Honda dealership so I have cheap parts availability for Honda's
Or if you're willing to sacrifice speed for looks and a bit of handling 280Z

Holy shit if I didn't have an ep3 that would be the one I want, the k20a3 is really hard to get power out of without dumping a lot of money in it

While these are other options, they don't fit the bill for what I'm looking for. >economical >practical >a riot to drive

Subarus are the most unreliable heap of gook steel ever, next to ebay katanas. Minis are simply for homosexuals and any civic that isn't 3K with some mods is unreliable, rice, and ugly.

Not OP but is there much practical difference between a 5th gen Prelude and a 6th or 7th gen Accord coupe? I like the Prelude's style but the v6 in the Accords seems pretty nice and they're a good bit roomier which I like.

>WRX >good fuel economy
The point of a WRX is to turn fuel into wubs and broken gearboxes.
Ethan Hughes
>WRX gas milage is bad and also likes to blow headgaskets >Cooper Very unreliable and parts are expensive to replace >Civic SI 5k is kinda expensive for a 12 year old civic, but probably the best out of the bunch??
There are tons of ther options if your budget is 5k dollars.
Kayden Peterson
If you don't mind missing the truck a decent 2gen (NB) or a good 1gen (NA) miata are well within your budget
Ryder Bailey
I meant to type; "missing a trunk" sorry for drunk posting

The WRX has the 2.0L EJ205 which is not known for headgasket issues. The 2.5L engines are the ones known for blowing gaskets.
