Game is overall harder. Characters require more dedicated time to learn and memorize. There's no memorable moves like Hadouken, rather strings and stances with many variations and things to go off of. Eventually you'll find someone you can confidently say is the one for you. Stick with it.

Tekken is the hardest, most complex fighting game ever made, it requires the highest execution, reactions, mind games, adaption, oki, matchup knowledge etc. Only Koreans and Japanese girls excel at it, go back to Injustice2.

I think Tekken is set in a world where by training in martial arts you increases your power level. Heihachi has been practicing and improving his prowess for 50+ years. So his power level makes him durable as fuck and the lightning is probably a trademark of Mishima style. Paul has somehow reached a level that lets him punch through brick walls and blast giant boulders apart.

Assuming Asia wins Evo so that they get six slots for world finals, also assuming that Evo winner still goes to place highly at other tournaments will mean a bunch of points become unavailable and the struggle for the remaining points will be tighter.

An other interesting thing is that since JDCR, Saint and Tanukana took top 3 at CEO which was a Americas master tournament they didn't earn any points there but Anakin (highest placed from the region) only got 70 points. With 320 points for top 3 presumably disappeared into the void.
So if players traveling to other regions and placing highly keeps happening then that would render even more points unavailable...
so winning even the online tournaments might be decisive.

tl;dr /tekgen/ get your online strats ready and maybe you can qualify for world finals and compete for $200 000!

thanks for suggesting d/f+2 to float after some abnormal juggles. I will check it out.

for some of the more oddly spaced ones I find you can catch with b+2, d/f+1,2~1 etc. but your option might be higher damage because of the extra dck 1 you can get after d/f+2 compared to my conventional combo route.

I can't get one connection today that isn't laggy as fuck and the only thing I did recently to possibly change this was forward my ports yesterday.

144mbps, speeds are fine on every test. Yet still ridiculously laggy on 4 bar + connections.

How can I diagnose the problem? Surely it can't be just my bad luck and opponents?

look at Eliza's b+4 with recovery animation displayed. You'll see that she only colours in partway through the animation, the gap where she's visible is your window to input qcb+1 - you have to commit to it.
