Hit curb what's this?

Just hit a curb what damage am I looking at?

...

some damage

Yeah that's definitely something broken

too dark to tell use flash and get closer but it looks like your control arm is fucked? also usually there is damage to the wheel so if you are able to have someone take the tire off to inspect and re balance it if there's a vibration.

well your lower control arm is supposed to have a car attached to it, for one.

fess up, what kind of stupid shit were you pulling you managed to understeer a Boxster into a curb?

It's a boxster s 2000 I got it for 10 k the throttle got stuck in a corner I got the car enough to just hit the front right wheel on the curb it bounced off went back in the road, the wheels steered fine car felt good but when I got out the front rignt wheel looked stanced at a 10 degree angle like them ricer civics, it still steers its connected by the shocks and brake line, am I looking at a total loss?

(of course wheel and tire is lower on the priority list than that arm and your chassis)

also, please answer because either that photo is deceivingly bad or you must have hit that curb at quite some speed

>tfw i did exactly this in my cressida

if ur me OP your control arm is fucked and needs to be welded or replaced

You could have easily broken a piece of the frame. Take a look at that.

The one time I wasent racing on mountains I was going the speed limit and fuck this happend I should have hit the clutch as soon as the my shoe or the throttle got stuck, how does one crash into a ducking curb normal driving?

Your control arm is fucked, i can see it in two pieces in your photo. How did you manage to do that much damage? I don't believe that a stuck throttle could do that unless it takes you more than two seconds to stomp on the clutch. You might also have some issues with the tie rods.

>welded
I can see that's aluminum from here.

better lube up for a trip to your local Porsche parts department, OP.

I got fucked up on holloween severely hung over I just woke up goin to work and Life went from good to shit in a second I hope the frame isint jacked up because I'm ready to spend a weekend fixing this fucker

I think you might be able to simply replace the lower arm and be good. I did a similar thing in a Volvo 850, ripped the driver side wheel and suspension arm completely off the car, the subframe and mounting ears for the arm were perfectly fine but the axle, brake lines, control arm, tie rods, wheel and tire were f-u-c-k-e-d. I was still able to get it fixed.

You will want to check that the place where the lower arm attaches to the car is not damaged in any way. If that is damaged, the car is practically a loss. However, these parts are actually designed to break in such a way that they do not damage the unibody of the car, so you may be okay, just get a flashlight and take a good look.

oh yeah your tie rods are probably fucked up too, and I would also remove the suspension strut and ensure it's straight.

>this

hope you like expensive fixes and parts
germans love that almost as much as gay scat porn

>throttle got stuck in a corner
german engineering strikes again

That is a lower control arm and if you go to a garage it will be like $400+ to have a grease monkey fix it and like $200 if you do it yourself. Have fun, m8.

Stuck throttle? Yours is drive by wire. Theres only one little linkage down by the pedal that could hang up and they never fully hang, just get stiffer.

You fucked up, admit it.

>go to a garage it will be like $400+
Try $4,000-. The German car specialist is going to find frame damage where the control arm attaches to the frame, that the wheel is ruined, that other parts are bad such as steering, ball joints, hub, etc. And then they are going to sell him a new tire.

"throttle got stuck".
What kind of moron would buy this car for a child that can't even admit that he wanted to durifto around a corner and while he expected the rear to break out, the car lunged forward and started to understeer.
Must be a parents love to give a retard something as valuable as this car.
>throttle got stuck
what a weak ass excuse. Let me guess. it's a nonrepreducable error so suing is not going to give you loads of moneys?

>OP buys german "sport" car with receding hairline tire in the back
>First rain
>Hit a curb

nah dude you're fine you can keep driving like that

I've had the dbw pedal stick in my non Porsche, its not unheard of.

>Early 2000's boxter
>valuable

Did i take the bait?

It's not always you that does the stupid shit. I swerved to avoid someone who crossed the median and ran into a curb once. Fucker just drove away. Next time someone tries that shit I'm just going to smash into them.

...

Still 5-15k depending on mileage and S or not. Either way, a lot more than most parents spend on their kid

The german engineer's job is to get the car into top condition, if you want it to just drive and maybe pass next TÜV, you go to the polish garage, and if you want the same service but want to pay the german price, you go to the czechs.

OP we need more pics if you want to know if this is a DIY job

What about the russian garage?

Some of your petrol and oil gets stolen, along with the platinum compounds in your cat and some copper wiring deemed not mission critical, but the repair was cheap.
