Just installed weapon goulash and warfare. Definitely one of the best mod combinations I've tried.

goulash is pretty good once you install it all correctly. thats been my go to mod for coc.
Lots of different guns for the mod that that has the most action.
of course using the npc accuracy fix, becuase otherwise god damn AI is half braindead.
I've noticed the AI keeps landing weird shots. At point blank they suck but lots of headshots at 50-75 meters.

Quick question here: how do I make CoP more like SoC? I've wasted countless hours on the latter, but the former feels too foreign too me.
Alternatively, how do I get rich fast in CoP, since I can't even sell looted guns to no one because ""item too broken to sell"" bullshit.

If you want to get rich quick, go artifact hunting. If you do a few quests for owl and beard you'll get the best detector in the game, and beard does buy artifacts at the best price.
What is /sg/'s opinion on emissions? Find them annoying? Immersive?
Emissions add a good bit of life and danger to stalking around in the zone, so it sure contributes to immersiveness since it makes the world seem more dynamic and alive.
When you hear the alarms, there's a good adrenaline rush as you try and rush to cover, though when you're actually in cover it's just a boring waiting game.
Problem though is when there isn't any functioning cover nearby (AFAIK the vehicle graveyard in CoC has only one), and the game only permits pre-defined "cover" locations, meaning you're often exposed when you think you're safe.
If they're too common they turn into a boring chore most of the time.
They're good for lowering the population, like when you have something like 50 people in the bar and some are stupid enough to wander outside. Plus more artifacts are always nice.
Immersive, as they introduce this much needed OH SHI~ factor.

In SoC (mods) they were fun. In CoP they're not so fun. Generally CoP feels odd to me.

While I personally didn't have any hoops to jump through with modding CoP from steam I can't say that there aren't any, such as downgrading to a certain version for certain mods.

Playing ogsm for cs lately and I like the "oh shit, run forest run" factor. Especially since it gets a black overcast to white screen flash so I can't see shit every few seconds. Flash, start to see shit again, see mutant, keep running and chugging energy drinks. ogsm does crash a lot though. Even on static lighting.

Have you tried restoring the backup Actor.cfg you obviously made before tinkering anything? Also, was everything okay before AN and modifying the camera viewpoint?

If you don't have 4gb of page file on your stalker disk it will keep crashing constantly no matter the mod.

I'll look into that. Thanks. I also noticed that this ogsm has a few graphical mods on top of it. I got it off moddb so I'm not sure if there is a different version without atmosphere 2 and the two texture packs.
