I do agree that she was less of a tease here, but I thought it was right for her to be a little more sincere as they move the relationship forward. She'll go back to her more usual self in the next chapter. Please look forward to it.

It had great potential, but it's clear they ran out of time/money or just didn't care about it.

They never gave you enough fun with pretending to be her secret lover. You never got to see her friend. You never find out what became of her investigation into Shido. You never even really got to know Lala-chan.

So many great ideas but none of them led to any real meaningful moments. Like, Makoto's confidant is 90% shit, but then you get Beep Boop, and the ruse, and the slap. Chihaya is fairly dull until she goes full Confederate. Those are all great moments that stick with you and really serve to make you feel close to the character. Ohya doesn't get anything like that. There's shit that should feel cool, but it all seems like it's ramping up to something really great, and just doesn't deliver.
