/ovg/ - Watkins Glen in a few hours

So you call it GT
Here I sit on my chair, I call it SHITTY
Identical looking cars made by the lazy Japs
I ain't wasting my time using them for hotlaps

So, I spent the past couple of months playing through some old games I din't bother to actually play through in my childhood

Bleifuss fun/Ignition
>never got the fastest car back then, now I beat the game within about an hour

NFS: High stakes (4)
>handling is floaty but fun once you get past the beginner tier cars
>using the manny tranny gives you more gears, quicker shifts so that's nice
>NFS 3 tracks are a welcome addition, though some races are over 20minutes long
>Pirated game also came with improved menues and extra cars from aussie and weeb editions
>they bothered to record a complete set of british cop radio chatter for just one bland track

NFS Porsche
>Only played it at a friends house once, time to give it another shot
>Expected NFS4 with porsches, but holy shit the cars actually behave like cars
>every drivetrain has a unique handling which leads to a sudden spike in difficulty once you get to the early 911s
>career mode with tons of Porsches and ALL the variants
>Plus somewhat realistic upgrades including visual stuff
>aged graphics aside, this should make autitistic Porsche fans very happy
>Some of the engine sounds are horrendous, some (like the 993) are spot on though
>tracks are wonderfully overstyled with neat sound design and alternative routes. If you liked the style of NFS 3 you'll LOVE these

Blog posting aside, I just started playing Underground 2, but I can't find the visual upgrades shop, is it unlocked later?

You need to find the shops around the city. Follow the colored lights and they will lead you to them, don't recall which color is which though

Anyone here tried GTR2? It seems nice.

+ lots of mods
+ weather
+ seems like it has 100 car grids
+ custom championships
+ multiclass racing

- old af
- physics might not be as good as newer games

Red
The starting city one is located next to the casino looking location

Because it's easier to make up cars from one single model than model cars.

It is. I'd advise to enjoy the vanilla game before modding the shit out of it though
Starting in the back of a full grid at Spa in a laggy turbo Porsche is hectic enough, especially when it starts to rain

thanks for the spoonfeeding, I must have skipped too many cutscenes

You dont

It's very prone to crash on online I've been told so it's better to stick to Rfactor for online stuff

The cars in the picture be like
>honhonhon oh boy time to race!
