Hows the car culture at your school?

Is there a real community? Does it extend over into the science/engineering departments?

Or your school a go to class and fuck off dont talk to me afterwords kind of culture?

Just "enthusiasts" in shitty WRXs and 2.5RSs, not to mention the Mexicans in beat to hell nig-rigged 350zs.

No one here knows anything about cars, even the "enthusiasts".

Mostly rich chink faggots in lambos and Bentleys with an N on the back. One Chilean guy with a golf gti and a 280z who's pretty cool though.

California, car meets every week full of Mexicans ,asians and blacks doing donuts and destroying property

Stancefags. All stancefags. Yet they hotrod around constantly despite their bicycle tire contact patch.

What's this map showing? Some of those are top private schools, some of those are mediocre private schools, and some are public schools

people talk

UWyo. All doosel faggots. And if it's not a doosel, then it's a V8 mid-size pickup.

I enjoy embarrassing them in my E36 M3.

im in a technical school for high performance auto tech so we've got:

the drifters: 240's, 370's, big-ass trucks without beds. they meet at our autocross and drifting club. really chill people. most actually have some super clean builds.

the rednecks: a FUCKTON of lifted brotrucks, they have an off-roading club and a big hill they can climb and hoon around on.

autocross club/TRACK DAY BRO'S: one miata, two miata, red miata blue miata, black miata, blue miata, old miata, new miata

so the cool result is everyone in town is pretty much an enthusiast, and pretty respectful of each other.

rich kids with mercs and luxury SUVs and poor fags with family sedans, but they are completely outnumbered by bus riders

The official club is not full of obscenely rich Chinese and Persian immigrants, just a bunch of normal, upper middle class American Asians that put fuck off huge diffusers on their cars. The true Asian guys drift around in parking structures late at night and speed in their Lamboferraris, then they leave their cars to rot in parking lots when they leave the country.

Probably the most influential college football teams

Small handful of car guys but I'm stuck in a shitbox because I don't have daddy to buy me a nice car.

Most of the diesel knuckle draggers are from Wyotech

Texas A&M
Pretty decent spread of modern american sports and muscle cars. Challengers, cameros, and mustangs, as well as an offroading club. Offroad club is pretty sweet actually, some seriously cool crawlers there, with diesel fags who join to pull them out.

Tuner scene is nowhere to be found or they just hide from the public eye.

If you think it's bad where you, try living in Bongland. I'm the only kid at our college with anything that isn't a complete normie transporter - the next most interesting cars are a Peugeot 106 and an Alfa MiTo. My E30 gets some odd looks and remarks:
>user, why do you have to strain to turn the wheel so much?
>I hope I don't see anyone I know when I'm riding in this.
Bunch of pricks. Even the schools parking spaces are too small for my car and it's only a fucking E30. I don't blame people for not forking out a fortune for insurance, but it would be nice to have some car enthusiasts around.

University of Waterloo

All Chinese kids in AMG's and crossover BMW M's

I'm white and drive a 944

MS here, go to the other college but w/e.

mostly newer camaros and challengers owned by black guys and sn95/new edge mustangs. a couple tuners/ricers/drifters that don't actually do much. dozens of lifted, underpowered bro trucks.

and a small handful of really cool rat rod/old muscle guys.

>UT being the representative school of Texas
Why would you choose a cucked school of libtards to represent my great state?

I go to a tech school in Utah
>Huge chromed bro trucks that never see dirt
>real off road rigs (4 runners, Jeep's, etc)
>Subbies bro
>A couple miatas
>a lot of harleys
>mustangs everywhere
that's about it

Car culture sucks around here due to the strict emissions laws, shit winters, and bad roads.

You have to be 18 to post here.

>t.u. teasips

University of Michigan Dearborn here. Tons of daddy's-money badgewhores and 5.0's because the school is basically just prep to work at Ford. I've only seen one miat. Feelsbadman :^(

>UW Seattle

its okay. i haven't seen too much in the way of community but there's some cool cars around campus and some super expensive ones driven by fobs. most non normie cars are just BRZs or BMWs though

i live near campus and ride a kawasaki ninja

It seems alright out here in the country. When not having a car is close to house arrest, I can only assume that growing up associating cars with independence causes more interest in cars.

just north of san jose. Tons of rich chinese teenage immigrants driving (and crashing) nothing but brand new lexus f-sports and g wagons.

this

there is one particular douche that put a full size gt wing on his stock brz, I want him dead

San Jose State University
There are a few stancefags, it sucks being stuck behind them when you both are trying to leave a parking lot because they're super slow.
Lots of toyobarus, typical imports.
Lots of mustangs and camaros that like to hear the sound of their car and hoon in the parking garages even though it's a terrible place to be driving like that.
One professor here has a rare, mint condition Mitsubishi VR4 spider

in north dakota, but not UND. NDSU.
"car culture" here is chopped exhausts, riced out impalas, lifted trucks, and like 2 decent WRXs.
theres some other kid who has a 350z that has one headlight and one taillight working.
The worst part of it all is all of these fags worship this shitty local yt channel called "Cboys". if you br/o/s want some cancer, give em a watch.

There was a Civic driver but he dropped out 2 weeks into the program.

SCU there are a couple of ok people

Nothing much.
Some lowered civics and some bikers.
Freshman can't have cars either

Im at community college and our car culture is not that visible with the exception of the occasional t-shirt, Bride backpack, and our once a year car (really low rider) show. We do have a automotive department but the garage is tucked away and there are about 20 tuner cars in a parking lot of over 200 cars. Our tuning scene is mostly Hispanic and white.

Everyone in UofMN drives a modded or unmodded shitbox.

Montana State.

Yes, lots of rich out-of-staters send their kids here for school. Mostly modded Lesbarus and brotrucks.

of course its a white trash school with shit tier taste in cars.

i went to a dedicated engineering school and there was a pretty decent sized group of gear heads. there was always someone down in the machine shop milling down custom brackets for a mod or something. our SAE team was on point and we had like 4 faculty that were huge car freaks that lent a hand on the reg.

my combustion professor showed about 40 kids how to install and tune megasquirts.

I ride the bus to college because parking is fucked.

>ND

there wasn't really a car culture here
just kids from money driving a "nice" car that daddy's money bought, kids from money driving a shitbox because dad didn't spoonfeed them everything, kids driving dad's farm truck, and a handful of transports driving some faux luxury/muscle car to pull thots

Three words.

Shitty
Car
Mods

We got wranglers with spray painted rims.
Mustangs with bolt on hood scoops
CRV's with decals that are peeling off and are stuck back on with scotch tap. I'm not even joking. In fact I wish i was.
I have yet to see a nicer car besides mustangs (considering if you count that as a nicer car)

Central MA student

>tfw i am young people
how can anyone going to college or uni be rich enough to buy those cars?

You'd make fun of my automatic genesis. I'll wait until I have a memecar to fit in with the herd.

It was garbage people sucked dick for lifted trucks. Some girls acted like they wanted to blow me because of my c350 w204 white with panoramic sunroof felt good have too much autism to do anything about it.

I'm a commuter. Are school meets worth waiting for?

What school?

Oh fuck. SSPS? I park there. I've only gone to one imports club meeting a few years ago. It was awkward without knowing someone in the club. Seems like a good time if you have a group to go with. The unofficial canyon run group on FB used to be alright but no one uses it anymore.

I'm not in school because I'm not a child.

Vancouver detected

Muscle car and Truck only. I see a corvette every time I leave the house and 20 mustang, camaros, dodge muscle cars the same day.

I'm in Business so I see a lot of BMW and Audis at the business campus.

Had to take a writing Business course on the Liberal Arts department and there were a lot of rich fags driving their parents Aston Martin and Jaguar.

Not sure what Engineer students drive but its probably Carmys and Civics.

Lots of rich fags probably driving their parents car.

MSU?

>on your school
Thanks that's the motivation I needed to leave this fucking board behind.

Iowa is all Chinese kids in brand new corvettes, gtrs, 911’s, various Mercedes and bmw’s

Why?

UCR

There is a car club that meets in a Boba shop parking lot down the street from my apartment but I've never been interested in going.

Indiana U has a decent car culture. Lots of good garages in town. The Chinese exchange students have the real cars though (mclarens, lambos, audis for days, ect)

Usually trucks paid for by their daddies and shit boxes

And the trucks are not used for any you would use a truck for, they are usually status symbols.

I always kick myself for not shooting that place up

VVC. The car culture is almost non existent among the students. Theres a bad ass baja F150 a tuned Mazda speed 3 and 2 miatas thats about it. The auto professors have to cool cars. One has a 1970 Plymouth road runner 6 barrel 440, another has a genuine buick grand national, although it looks like shit. another has a heavily modded jeep with an inline 6 4l60e trans and a ford 9 inch rear end, and my favorite a 1969 pontiac GTO judge

Went to a school with a lot of rich white kids.
Most of them were driving newer BMWs. I was driving a 2001 Maxima (in 2010-2011).

Not much of a car culture as it was in the suburbs of philly.

>went to U of H in old yeehaw
>only like 3 people drove cars and they were all inefficient luxury cars
>still live in in Houston
>everyone just drives the same shit but from 2017, the occassional poorfag driving an old Coupe, the occassional chad driving an old Subaru

Berkeley

Almost no one in college drives a car here, but other than international students in porsches it's pretty diverse in the actual city. Sometimes you'll see a classic Caddy, saw an Aston Martin Vantage the other day, sometimes JDM stuff like an Evo.

Most students couldn't care less about cars, though, as owning one in the bay is almost useless. And if they do it's almost always a Prius or some other eco-car

>FAU
>Implying it's not all daddy's money
My friend went there for a year. He said he couldn't even count how many Ferraris and Mercedes he saw.

When I lived in Georgia, it was a bunch of lifted trucks, a single Camaro, and some rich fag with an LR2 that he ended up wrecking.

Quite a mix desu

Any Auburn Weagle fags here other than me?

The De Anza parking lot is sad. It's full of AMGs and M-classes crashing into each other

I saw an R8 and an A7 once.

There are a lot if Audis and Mercedes there.

A lot of kids in daddy's money cars, a lot of shitboxes, and then there's the guys in FSAE (me).

Can't be. Or else northwestern would replace University of Illinois

Ay you go to auctane? I'm there every Tuesday

In general most kids at my hs where looking for econoboxes or suvs. There was a small amount however that looked for more sporty cars like bmws and what not. A handful however were into cars and i know one got a bmw then an frs, another got a camaro from their parents, one got a catfish camaro, one got a landbarge which was nice, one got a 09 pontiac g8, a 350z currently and had an rx8, 06 silverado and a 16 "seadoo gtr" if his instagram is to be believed and the last guy has a na miata

Basically 99% of the hs wasnt into cars and 1% was

>reno

Why would kids that wealthy go to such a shitty school?

I went to BYU and it was just a bunch of bros who bought Tacomas with their summer sales money or shitboxes that you wouldn't mind crashing in the snow.

Chinese exchange students in their Maseratis... Occasionally a few R35s then you have my dumb ass grinning to my shitty supercharger whine.

Issa lease lmao. I love how Dearborn dudes treat cars in general.

Too dumb to get into better schools.

We have a bone stock Corolla that comes, you're fine, come by asshat

I go to that every week it's hosted. It's a chill meet dude, I'll be there next Wednesday, come by, look for my ISF. We'll meme it and talk shit on cars.

>pic related, Was taken at midnight when everyone left

Like 80% of the cars parked there is below 3000 euro. Cheap commuters, think late 90's and 00's fiestas, starlets, twingos, corsas etc.

Some classics thrown in- mostly E30's / E34's, Volvo Bricks, 2CV's, Beetles and a lone Delta Integrale.

Nothing new, and the newish cars are generic and unremarkable. There's a metric fuckton of bicycles though. Most people don't come by car.

Technical University Delft, Netherlands - Architecture Facility

Also, there might be wealthy gooks about but the Netherlands doesn't acknowledge turd world licenses and getting one here is an lengthy procedure. Also they can't/won't ride bicycles so they just come by foot.

BC is not the most populated college in the state, UMass amherst is, and it's definitely not the most popular.

>don't go to college but live in a student housing co-op because they can't check the community college to see if I actually go there

I don't know what the car culture is but I live with a guy who owns a Jeepster and we're fucking infested with frat guys overpaying for their Honda Ruckus

>UGA for Georgia
>When Tech's a far better choice
They're even more Veeky Forums related. Aren't they the ones with the Grassroots 20whatever challenge team that usually pull some crazy stuff outta their asses?
