i went to a dedicated engineering school and there was a pretty decent sized group of gear heads. there was always someone down in the machine shop milling down custom brackets for a mod or something. our SAE team was on point and we had like 4 faculty that were huge car freaks that lent a hand on the reg.

Indiana U has a decent car culture. Lots of good garages in town. The Chinese exchange students have the real cars though (mclarens, lambos, audis for days, ect)

Almost no one in college drives a car here, but other than international students in porsches it's pretty diverse in the actual city. Sometimes you'll see a classic Caddy, saw an Aston Martin Vantage the other day, sometimes JDM stuff like an Evo.

Most students couldn't care less about cars, though, as owning one in the bay is almost useless. And if they do it's almost always a Prius or some other eco-car

A handful however were into cars and i know one got a bmw then an frs, another got a camaro from their parents, one got a catfish camaro, one got a landbarge which was nice, one got a 09 pontiac g8, a 350z currently and had an rx8, 06 silverado and a 16 "seadoo gtr" if his instagram is to be believed and the last guy has a na miata
