Cane's got low base damage so it's not gonna get past 550ish.

Even Saif and shit "only" get up into 605s.

Yeah Cane has one of the lowest ARs for converted weapons. Only thing to make your setup perfect is open foes on the Radials and maybe a better curse for the bolt gem.

I do this every time. And kill every enemy and stop and look at scenery I've seen a hundred times. And ask for co-op in areas I'm overleveled for in the first place. I love this game too much. I'll save the speedrunning for dungeons.

I'd say it's about even. I was so fucking hyped for both of those places and they were so disappointing. At least lore-wise Byrgenwerth can claim the Lecture Hall and possibly the labyrinth as being connected if we assume that's what that trap door is for

How do I magic build in BB? My runs of this game have just been "hit things with big stick" and judging by the tools and stuff you pick up it feels like I'm probably right in guessing it isn't like Souls where you carry around a staff and shooty shooty pretty blue lights at things

Hunter Tools, all scaling Tools besides one scale with Arcane all the way to 99 without severe diminishing returns like weapons. 50 is a decent spot for most of them, most commonly people would go 70+ for Pure Arc builds. There's a guide in the OP you can follow for starting them as a newbie.

For your build the minimum you'll want to aim for is Cruel Fate: 40/12/10/9/5/50. After that you can choose to pump Arc if you're going Pure, maybe a few points into Vit/End and Str/Skl to meet weapon requirements. You can also get 25/12+ Str/Skl if you're gonna do a Str/Arc Hybrid, has lots of weapon variety but you might not get Arc higher than 50 if you're staying within meta.

How's the enemy variety in Bloodborne? Better or worse than DaS3?

If you are looking at the face straight on, it should be about 5 eyes wide.
