How slowly are you rolling up to stoplights? I found that the induction loop based sensors will detect your bike fine if you go over them fast enough. Just brake a bit later and harder.

It's a habit thing, most of the time I'm stopping up behind cars, and I go slow so that I don't actually have to put a leg down and stop.

A new one would cost R1500(Aftermarket) or R2000(Original). My monthly pay is R8100 after tax. I pay R2500 for fuel. R2000 for my pops because I live on his plot. I pay R2000 for savings, most of the rest go to old fees on my credit card so I can build up financing. So until I fully pay off my card, more or less 4 months from now, I am stuck with it.

I have never had a cop stop me or anything, and I lived in CA for a good bit.
Also, I know this is CA specifically, but may be other states. The cop has to at least have his running lights on to give you a traffic citation, so, chances are you'll see the cop if you're stuck at an intersection.
Also, another little tidbit, CA but seems reasonable elsewhere, if a cop is following you and turns off his headlights to say check if you plate light works, that can't ticket you. It's illegal for them to turn off headlights while moving.
