Thanks for proving my point about Stellarisfags being all shitposters, and all too retarded to click on a "subscribe" button.

>It has now been 2 months since the last update on new Civ 6 leaders.
As one of the 2-3 people that like this game i hope for some new info soon. I want new leaders to play.

What happened with that user who was making a mod to mechanise planets, did he ever finish and release it?
Michael Lopez
I was going to post this on Veeky Forums but thought i'd try here first since people here are more likely to be familiar with the setting.
If I were to run a D&D campaign set in Endless Legend, how would you go about it? What racial traits would different races have? What would your main plot thread be?
I thought I could try having the Drakken employ the party as political ambassadors to unite the major races in an attempt to prevent the endless winter/ stop a cultist crusade/ do battle with a Necrophage horde or something. Have the party travel to different capital cities and have a subplot in each one.
Fishing primarily for ideas for quests and major plot hooks, and if anyone can provide any insight on creating/running homebrew that'd be amazing.
Landon Roberts
What I like with D&D is that in a campaign, you don't have to be a hero. You can just try to escape, or be someone important's right hand.
So I would probably go for a hunt after a necrophage mutant while trying to gather forces to push back a wind walker assault.
Jayden Gutierrez
Please do not bully the Riftborn.
Charles Lee
First of all run it in 3.5e Second of all I'm playing a Wizard
Kayden Kelly
q >Was this fixed with the patches/expansions? It's not really something that could be fixed in SP 4x. If you can gain an early military upper hand on your neighbours and stompt them into dust you will have an advantage in any 4x. That being said touching Impossible/Endless AI early on is nigh on impossible, pun not intended, challenge. >dominant strategy It's not, but it has a place, always.
If you aren't aversed to older games SMAC might be up your alley. Also Last Federation is a neat little indie game that fits many of your criteria.
No and Yes.
Ryder Rodriguez
>D&D campaign Not the best choice for it. GURPS if you are into it, pathfinder or something equally modular would do better.
D&D is simply too set in it's ways for adapting it to other systems, you will always have it's ears sticking out of various holes. I'm also pretty sure Veeky Forums tried to create a custom system for EL, might worth trying to dig it out.
>What racial traits would different races have? Game covers that extensively, but you will have to go trough the list yourself and figure what you want in your game and what you don't.
>What would your main plot thread be? There are 2 ways to do it - hunting the Dust Crystal, and not hunting the DC. If it's the latter than it depends on your centrepeice faction, if it's the former, its pretty much universal.
>I thought I could try having the Drakken employ the party as political ambassadors to unite the major races Could work if you have the right players for it, be mindful that some factions have deep seated rivalries bordering on hatred for each other, Clans/Ardent and Fogotten/Vaulters come to mind, and would be difficult to convince both to come on board.
Gavin Wright
>pathfinder or something equally modular Pathfinder is just D&D3.5e, patched edition. 5e is just hot rubbish nobody writes splats for.
Carter Hughes
>Pathfinder is just D&D3.5e, patched edition Well, yes, but that's the point. Especially given the thousand and one extra rule sets available for it.
Austin Ramirez
If he's running D&D I do hope he means 3.5e, not 5e. Wizard || Rainbow Savant casts Simulacrum!
Colton Ramirez

Stat Horatio.
Anthony Hall
>Charisma : 11

11 Charisma is pretty bad you know
Landon Scott
Horatio isn't very charismatic he's too narcissistic for any non-Horatio to like
Jackson Davis
Str 7 Dex 22 Con 8 Int 40 Wis 10 Cha 42
Horatio Sauce (Ex.) - It's the very hottest. Anyone dunked in Horatio Sauce must make a DC 42 Fortitude save or be burned to death by its lethal hotness. Targets who save must make a DC 42 Will save or be Dominated, as if the victim of a CL20 Dominate Person, except victims also obey self-destructive commands.
Anthony Phillips
>DC 42 m8...
David Harris
Sorry, I though we were using Fallout's stat system, with 10 being the best and 5 being the average.
>not warlock with a virtual patron Go big or go home
Cameron Miller
Warlock is shit though, and straight up doesn't exist in PF anyway. Exploiter Wizard / Arcanist is the godclass without any 3pp in PF, while Spellsage is basically Archivist, nerfed just a tiny bit. In 3.5e if I 'went big' I'd obviously go for Conjurer | Rainbow Servant or Dread Necromancer | Rainbow Servant. Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil is overrated though.
Luis Thompson
>tfw you accidentally get the diplomatic victory in EL Guess that's what happens when you forget to turn it off.

What are some good city shapes for BDSM fairies? Want to do an endless run but Always seem to end up with standard cities which screams suboptimal to me.
Michael Evans
10
Nathaniel Gomez
Maybe make a sort of triangle?
Ryan Rodriguez
That's pretty much the standard I'm talking about and it's shit. I'm thinking of either a star of some description with an empty center or double/triple 6 hex triangles
Xavier Murphy
thats basically it but then you're potentially ignoring good tiles to have the "Perfect" city layout. It's not really that important desu
Charles Wright
Hollow circles like a bee hive; start with an X with your city center and first four borough streets and make cells from there Basically, you want your city to be as efficient with pillars as possible Some of the cultists (The things that fanatics ride and the armless servitors/solid blocks the preachers use) are pure automatons, while others are a collection of converts from the many peoples of Auriga Whenever the Queen "chooses" read: messes with the head of a member from either group, they get dragged to the center of the city and tortured/mind fucked for weeks while their body shifts, transforming into the Cultists' elite (giraffe-necks, the Chosen heroes, and the Nameless Guard)
Kevin Hughes
Is Stellaris worth it? I've been told it basically space EU4.
Jaxson Allen
No, because EU4 is actually good.
Tyler Anderson
caterpillar is also effective
Michael Baker
Really? What is so bad about it
Andrew Nelson
Yeah, I'm not a perfectionist when it comes to city shapes, Pic related is my most memorable city and it had basically no Lvl2 until turn 100, but there has to be some guidlines to follow and default shapes aren't it.
You mean something along the lines of ƆC ? That might work, thanks.
Don't think it's the best idea, but it's certainly workable, thanks.
It's a shallow title, it's only worth if you want to daydream about being a galactic emperor of your personalised empire, the game itself offers very little substance, but a lot of generic fluff to go along with your daydreaming.
This is not intended to insult it's players, just trying to explain what people actually mean when they say roleplaying is the only good aspect of stellaris.
Tho I'm told it has some decent mods because of how easy it is to mod for.
Aaron Barnes
Simply put : >replayability is low >governement has little effect >AI is botched and designed to be a challenge to you, so alliances are limited >planet management system is £#@¤µ shit >there are no easy way to manage fleets, you build them one ship after another >your input on battle is too limited and unlike EU4, you have no terrain
Nicholas Roberts
Why the fuck do you repost this meme? The point of patterns in EL is to have the least unupgraded districts. Out of all, only moons and super triangle meet the requirements.
Brandon Mitchell
poor replayability, flawed game design, a general lack of depth, and very stingy business policy caterpillar is honestly the ardent mages' best bet though - it provides a large amount of level 2 districts, covers a large surface area without requiring a super wide region, and provides excellent places for pillars (if you put it in the center of the spaces between the caterpillar's "legs", the bonus will be applied to its maximum thanks to the exploitation of the land around it)
Ryan Nelson
Broken rode is actually very efficent, it covers almost optimal territory and has only 4 lvl one districts. Big Triangle is the optimal one, period. Just math. The others are for snaking around difficult areas and special cases, not for optimal output.
>caterpillar is honestly the ardent mages' best bet though Yeah, late game - sure, but I play with irregular shapes and it very hard to fit that monstrosity in. And early game its suboptimal since you spend almost 50% more districts and still miss a square in the lvl 1 pillar square. Contrast it with a simple C shape that spends 4 districts and covers all 7 hexes of interest.
Alexander Jackson
My favorite city was when playing Broken Lords I filled up the entire region with districts, had a pop of almost 100. Good times.
Jack Anderson
Yeah BL "We can do it better than Cult" megacities are amusing, but by the time you can construct them you've already won. The reason I remember that particular city is that it was a very good way of making the best of a difficult situation where I spawned on top of 3 anomalies but almost no industry in range of the settler or the anomalies.
Evan Sullivan
So what are the 4 ways to cheer up a depressed cat?

Just upload it you retarded idiot.

I already did, but on the workshop. Use it instead of being a "hur gh the workshop is for losers only" scrub.
Ayden Cruz
That's not the issue, user, he's a piratefag who doesn't want to admit it.
His excuse yesterday was "the workshop is blocked in some countries."
Connor Smith
Respectfully disagree :^)
Ethan Wright
Why in the ever-loving fuck would we do that?
Landon Miller
Because it's simple courtesy and the benchmark of a good community.
Ryder Hughes
Wew.
Gabriel Wilson
I think you've forgotten where we are.
And no, we're not going to feed some idiot who trolls like a retard to get his own way and doesn't even own up to the fact he's a pirate, and instead invents ever more fanciful reasons as to why he can't download the mod.
Rule number one of Veeky Forums is practically "don't spoonfeed idiots"

So I terraformed this lava planet in ES2, since going by the math, desert would have been better - same hot and sterile bonuses for industry + more population. But guess what, turns out terraforming gives you non-sterile deserts. I have no words to describe how gay it is, especially considering the game showed it was going to be sterile in the tooltip. Gay.
Cooper Gomez
Horatio is an acceptable synonym for gay.
Michael Powell
desu Yung was just one guy too
Ryan Gutierrez
at least the thread is alive
Brandon Gutierrez
That's not necessarily a good thing
Carson Lee
>But guess what, turns out terraforming gives you non-sterile deserts. Pretty sure that's untrue. I think there is some mechanic or bug that makes some desert/tundra planets non sterile but I remember terraforming into sterile deserts for sure. Deserts are a stepping stone anyway, what you want is jungle, always. Fertile is too good to pass up no matter who you are, except MAYBE Riftborn.
Adrian Rogers
>at least you're dying of leprosy and not already dead I see that you too have embraced the agony, fellow sufferer. May the agony make us all stronger!
Benjamin Evans
Riftborn get unique reverse-terraforming anyway.
Jackson Fisher
Are the Forgotten fun? What about Morgawr?
Alexander Baker
>faction quest is at the ass end of the universe >behind 3 hostile empires >can't make fast ships because they wouldn't survive the journey >can't send out pimped out warships because they'll just be attritioned to death during the 30+ turns deathmarch >turn 108, haven't done phase 2 of my faction quest Fuck this shit, I'm going for wonder victory.
Jose Allen
Forgotten were a pain in the ass to play when I tried them. Morgawr are fun, though. Nobody can really contest the ocean besides you, and you get so ridiculously powerful from naval fortresses that you barely even need to exploit land. Mind controlling minor factions to cause havoc in other empires is also great.
Ethan Butler
Depends on what suits you r fancy. Forgotten are high on micro but can be extremely satisfying. For all their unique stuff morgawr are mostly vanilla, but are pretty enjoyable especially if you never bothered with sea game in your other playtroughs.
Henry Rodriguez
Why is ES 2 such a buggy piece of shit? I like the game but I keep getting a problem when I use any save game other than autosaves, it just hangs on the load screen forever. It's been out for weeks, shouldn't basic ass shit like this be patched by now? Lazy frog cunts.
Noah King
what do you bois listen to when playing stellaris?
>especially if you never bothered with sea game in your other playtroughs Haven't played with Tempest at all yet, actually. Still, will probably go with the Forgotten or Broken Lords because spoopy dust ghosts are too good.
Christian Ramirez
Sounds hot.
Joshua Lee
forgotten: can win ezmodo science victories or econ victories if played properly. Spies are pretty fun
Morgawr: their heroes get stupid bonuses to naval warfare (can become like 1k hp 200 damage beasts) which lets you control the seas like no other and get tons of bonuses. Super fun even on not sea focused maps (pangea with 1 large sea)
