Pretty much every manufacturer with the engine outside of the wheelbase: Porsche, Subaru, VW. The short engine length keeps polar moment of inertia from getting too big, plus flat engines have a nice low CoG.

Look at Audi's I5 quattro systems. Engine in front of the front axle line, with a pigfat and long I5 in front of it. Understeer galore, because the polar moment of inertia is so high. They moved to a V6, which is shorter and even has another cylinder. Too bad really, because I5 engines are godmode other than the fact that they're usually strapped to bad AWD systems (Audi) or transverse FWD (Volvo).
