What if instead of spawning an extra melee creep in the mid lane, they just swapped one of the melees for a ranged one? It would still cause mid laners to level up faster while considerably reducing possible GPM, which is the main reason why the mid lane is so protected these days.

I find the best course is to communicate with your team in regards to hero picks. Personally I always last pick whatever will compliment the team, typically a hard support and ensure the carry gets tons of farm. Even a retard can carry with farm.

Also, never flame. Just tell everyone to calm down and play dota. Mute people if necessary. The second you start flaming you are decreasing your win percentage significantly. All top players have a positive mental attitude. Games are only lost when the ancient goes down. I've gained ~400 mmr in the past 5 days just adhering to these rules. If I lose two or three games in a row I just stop playing for the day.
