It didn't do that well because it still had gearing for rally but still hats off.

Why is Lancia the best? Let's start:
-first v4 engine in a production car (one of the best sounds to ever be produced from internal combustion)
-can't decide if a turbo is better than a supercharger? no problem, lancia has you covered, and offers you BOTH on the same engine (first to do that too)
-want to have a 3l ferrari v8 under the bonnet? Get a Lancia Thema, and have the first retractable boot spoiler to rip your way past any BMW M5
-they were the first to build cars and test them for aerodynamicity in a wind tunnel
And the list goes on
