It's a great shitbox, but you don't see nearly as many, let's say, Geo Metro threads as Twingo threads.
It's memed mainly because of the "face" which admittedly is a reactionface goldmine, but oversaturation really isn't great. The random nature of Twingo threads is what kept them interesting, if there's one up at any and all times it gets stale real quick.

look up on engine swaps in twingo forums.
they usually take the 1.8l from the clio with a lot of work or the 1.4 from the 5 that swaps right in without much hassle. both can be tuned up to 200hp

F-series engines are possible and a pretty common swap, but require a lot of fabrication.
The 1.4 turbo is a bolt-in swap for the early models, pre-1996.
The modern 1.2 TCe (D4FT) is the same block as your current D7F, but it has a different 16V head, stronger internals and a turbo. Makes about 100hp in stock form, can easily go up to 130 with a tune. Don't think anyone's tried swapping one of those in though.
