Can someone from the US explain to me how these people are still in business? (Yes, I'm aware they sell these everywhere now, but it originated in the US.) This shit contains two resistors, a LED diode and a capacitor that won't even fucking WORK in a DC circuit.
I get it, normies are retarded and will buy any snake oil if they manage to convince themselves it works, but this isn't audiofool equipment, even people with extremely superficial understanding of how electronics and automobiles work understand this does absolutely nothing except draw a tiny current to light up the LED. Is there some reason why these people aren't drowning in false advertising lawsuits? They explicitly claim things that are physically impossible for their product to be doing and couldn't stand up even to the most basic independent testing
I've been using the fuel shark for years and saved overall $5000 on gas
David Bell
I believe that this These things managed to save an extremely minuscule amount of fuel so technically it’s not false advertising. Were talking like .0001 empegees though
Adam Hughes
I have had one of these for a few years now. My savings have been phenomenal! It works by accessing your cars CPU, over clocking it to make it more efficient this saving gas in the long run.
Landon Carter
They use some very very extraneous arguments to how the thing works and how they actually do save gas in some (probably immeasurable, probably theoretical) fashion. Their numbers and metrics on how much it saves is complete bogus
Most of the gas "saved" by consumers is a placebo effect on people just being more gas conscious when they drive
Angel Robinson
Wtf is this
Christopher Thomas
American consumer protection laws are extremely limited compared to Europe. Big businesses can get away with anything. Now you understand why it was Her Turn.
Matthew Fisher
It's not physically possible for what it seems an RC circuit to have any effect on the engine combustion, if all it takes energy to keep that capacitor charged (not much but parasitic resistance is inevitable) so it puts a tiny-tiny load on the alternator which ultimately worsen the MpGgG.
Jose Wood
Obvious false advertising is still pretty fucking illegal here
Dominic Young
There is no physically feasible way for them to be saving gas, though. They draw a minuscule current that lights up a diode (your car already does that with a whole fucking bunch of stuff, especially at night). The cap just sits there doing nothing, in a DC circuit it basically behaves like a break. The only effect this thing could possibly have is actually increasing your consumption on a miscroscopic scale, but any difference you'll observe will be just normal fluctuation due to driving conditions and style.
Elijah Russell
I use two of these and get 80km/L would recommend
John Ross
I want to get one and use it ironically
Luis Foster
>in a DC circuit it basically behaves like a break That's partially incorrect as the capacitor behaves in only one way: storing energy. Power fluctuation are minuscule in a car still every now and then the capacitor will push a little bit of energy back into the system, but yeah it would consume a drop more of gasoline per tank.
David Moore
>Power fluctuation are minuscule in a car still every now and then the capacitor will push a little bit of energy back into the system
Wouldn't it only do that if the socket completely dropped out, though?
Nathaniel Wood
except in a car, the battery already acts like the capacitor of the circuit, while the car is running, dampening the electrical load of the coils firing/points switching/ac clutch engaging etc. just adding another, tiny capacitor into it will not change a thing, especially when it isn't connected into an electrical system between the battery and engine ignition system which is the only place it could operate as described.
However, you would achieve the same effect simply wiring a second, smaller battery into series with the main one.
Benjamin Bailey

Hudson Williams
The cigarette lighter is directly wired to the battery. Fluctuations are inhevitable due to switching loads and the intrinsic parasitic inductances and capacitances which introduces ringing into the system. For what it counts that capacitor tries to do his physical job but at the end is like trying using a bucket to remove fluctuations from water, does more harm than good.

the only people that fall for this also go for magnet bracelets, detox foot pads, .99 cent eBay “Ecu upgrades” that increase 100hp and 30mg that’s just some transistor in a box like this...same scam different delivery... there is a sucker born every minute my friend.
You would want the new battery in parallel, not series. If you put another 12 volt battery in series, you would have a 24 volt system, destroying many electronics.
Josiah Green
> When your car's electrical system is stabilized, you get a strong even engine spark and the result is better combustion. >Universal - suitable for every car
Nolan Collins
wtf is this retardation? I need to come up with a scam and sell it.
Liam Carter
Its basically this. The cap may charge but its not going anywhere or doing anything. How can anyone fall for this shit?
Anthony Diaz
> people with extremely superficial understanding of how electronics and automobiles work nowadays everyone has literally no understanding of electronics and automobilism, the extent of knowledge is "insert battery to make remote work" and "add magic go fluid whenever car tells you"
Dominic Johnson
That's fucking golden. What is it supposed to do? A HW key?
Cooper Ramirez
Why come up with your own scam? the guy is charging $15 for a capacitor and two LEDs just undercut him on his own bullshit.
Jordan Hughes
>How can anyone fall for this shit? Placebo and post-purchase rationalization. Just look at the Amazon reviews, it's got four stars on average for fuck's sake. People start going easier on the gas pedal, cherrypicking the days they drive innacity and on the highway, and voila, "today my consumption was at 80%, it werks!"
Benjamin Lewis
>a LED diode > LED > Light Emitting Diode > Light Emitting Diode Diode
As for your question? Snake oil. Americans will fool themselves into believing anything.

>an led, a couple resistors, and a capacitor What is thos even supposed to do? Keep the led on a little longer after power is cut off?
Nathaniel King
Mazda's new engines use the exact same principle as these to get better fuel economy. They do in fact work as advertised
Brody Reed
Why buy just one? I used a huge series of splitters and adapters to plug in 100 of these, and now my car uses no gas at all. In fact it actually generates fuel as I drive. Starting with an empty tank, I put in one drop of gas, plugged in my FuelShark array, and started driving. Ten minutes later, my gas tank was so full it overflowed and started spraying gas all over the road. Now I sell gas to chumps who don't know about the FuelShark. In less than a month I've earned enough money to begin construction of a power plant that will harness over 9000 FuelSharks to generate enough free energy to run a large factory. The factory will produce 100,000 FuelSharks every day. In one week, the entire planet will be powered by FuelSharks. In one month, spacecraft will be launched to Mars in order to disassemble it for material for more FuelSharks. In one year, most of the solar system will be converted into FuelSharks, providing enough energy for humans to colonize the entire galaxy.

as a former electrician and electronics specialist and ultrasound technician i can say with 100% certainty that an increased draw on the battery would actually cause the car to run less efficiently
that being said this thing in no way can save you any more on gas or effect vehicle power its tecnicly a light more than anything else

that does exist though for medical stuff and non destructive testing i believe but i'm not sure if that is what that dude was trying to say

in fact this whole back and forth has been written by me, don't try to take credit for it

I don't see why car companies don't build cars with those few resistors and a capacitor built in.
That said, they stay in business because it's really not worth your time to build one your own.

Everything is regulated out the ass nowadays and they're not allowed to sell you bananas that are too curved but shit like this is still fine

How about light bulbs that just fucking work instantly? And that's pretty much worldwide
Josiah Moore
>expecting it to plug into the OBD2 port and just light up >plugs into cigarette lighter
Eli Gomez
There is no lightbulb that works instatnly, incandecent ones need a dew miliseconds to heat up their filaments, LEDs usualy have a switching power supply and mercury tubes need to heat up a electrode.
Angel Howard
FuelShark worked for me. It went from 10MPG to 6.7L/100KM. Now I'm not a cancerous imperial system user.
Bentley Parker
That one actually works, as it basically uses two sockets to light a single LED, which uses way less than anything else you would have put into those sockets.
Jackson Thomas
will these work in my chevy bolt? i wonder if the extra gas will make it go faster

I only have a very loose understanding of electrical engineering, but Isn't this shit just power factor correction? Which would be a complete non-issue in car's electrical circuit?
