what?
Blake Anderson
What are the little things sticking out by the nose for? Stabilizers of some sort?
Christian Cruz
Not sure why it's like this, here's the image I meant to post.
Aaron Smith
what do you mean things stick out on the nose? on the nose of what, space? theres nothing there
Aaron Lee
Posting this again.
Sneak peak at the alternate viewpoint AC4 fanfic I'm working on.
is it just me or is nagases handing writing horrid?
Angel Turner
Post your handwriting then, feggit

didnt mean to link post, sorry no i suppose they may have something to do with aerodynamics, maybe, im not a plane expert
Jayden Jenkins
Cuz she's got man hands
Connor Sanders
I get that it's not that important, but I'm sorry, I can't just ignore it. The disconnect is just too great!
It's especially odd because presumably they'd get partnered with the same RIOs for every mission. So in theory our squadron should be +10 people (depending on whether RIOs defect too, or if new RIOs join Razgriz squadron) in the story rather than 5. Naturally, that would be too much, but it's one of those things that really bothered me ever since I considered the canonicity of the F-14D in AC5.
Matthew Adams
its one of those ace combat diversions from reality id try not to think about it too much or it'll get wound up in your head
Julian Hall
I heard they're there for the measurement and collection of various data.
Camden Edwards
I'm already too far gone. Only headcanon can save me.
Asher Long
The second person in each plane was a teenage japanese schoolgirl who were too meek and cute to speak or be seen.
Easton Howard
Story and gameplay over technical details. RIOs do not contribute to the former two in any way unless the story and gameplay can accommodate them.
Dylan Lewis
try to think about if the demon lord really exists then or is he just a 8 man squadron or more of elite aces assigned to the Allied Force's Galm Team with Pixy as their lead rather than the overtly famed two man mercenary dream team who just happened to be some of the greatest aces of all time
Gabriel Phillips
Or perhaps, although the 2-seaters models do have the RIO modeled in, they simply flew without them.
Jose Phillips
>picture is a blank png we have obtained true stealth

>stealthing so hard the immediate area doesnt exist as long as youre present in it jesus this is next level

What happened to Nagase's RIO when the squadron had to go search for her?
Fuck, the rabbit hole goes too deep!
Oh yeah, it's a valid idea that these various heroes of Strangereal are just enigmas and legends, and rather than being singular heroes, they consisted of many people working together and Mobius 1, Blaze and Cipher etc. are just romanticised ideas representing a force that won the war. That's cool too in its own right for sure. I do like the singular hero angle slightly better though, and that's how it's presented to us anyway.
Well... it would be cool, and it'd make it easier on my mind, but I doubt that any military would ever let their pilots do that,
Gabriel Gray
Hey you. You now lead an elite fighter squadron filled with aces in the Air Force of your choice. You get total reign over name, planes, tactics, livery, formation, everything. What is it?
Adam Turner
What is the bulging dome just in front of the Flanker's cockpit, sometimes a bit offset? Is it present on all models?
Adrian Campbell
I have to say I am really proud of how /aceg/ handled the transition to this thread. Well Done buddies.

That's the IRST.

Also, does anyone have a better comparison between the T-10 and the Su-27?
Connor Clark
a true ace doesnt need a newer generation of aircraft he only needs the aircraft he entrusts his life to and knows he is most capable in
Xavier Russell
Here's a side profile. T10 is at the top.
Xavier Nguyen
And here's the T-10 by itself.
Cooper Hall
Early production F-4s had IRST.
Bentley Hughes
I've always found this picture of the Blackbird spooky and unsettling. It looks so sinister, and as if it's about to fly right into me. ;_;
Logan Turner
>there will never be an AC game with a playable SR-71 >only way to play it is in a gimmick mission in AC3

Anyway, here's another SR-71
Logan Perez
Could you post a 3-view for the Su-27? I need to check whether some details I noticed are actual differences, mainly in regards to the engine naceles' angle and overall shape. They seem more rounded and slanted.
Makes sense I missed that given how shallow I went when looking for info. Thanks for the heads-up.
Carson Walker
Sure thing, buddy!
They're anemometer probes.
Jonathan Cook
Thanks a lot. The differences I see are: >straight edged stabilizers (both sets, unlike the Su-37 which only has that for the vertical ones) >different wing root-LREX transition >F-14-like airbrake in place of the "stinger" and no dorsal one >rounded wingtips (duh), but the spikes are still there (spoilers? I need the technical term) >"spoilers" (see above for terminology issues) on the horizonal stabilizers >radome has a more complex panneling pattern (isn't that detrimental to radar functions?) >no gun ports or underwing hardpoints, obviously >vertical stabilizers much closer together >no "fins" bellow the vertical stabilizers Did I miss anything? Also, I need a refresher on what the stinger is.
Levi Nguyen
Pretty sure the stinger is rear-facing radar. Or a parachute thing. Maybe both?
Liam Watson
Patches finally came in. Feels good.
>tfw I know the AC5 name reference of the Razgriz Patch Guy
Lucas King
It's both on the Su-47, iirc. Not sure about the flankers, which is why I ask. Double stinger for the win.
Samuel Lopez
Yeah, rear-facing radar.
On the Su-47, the shorter one is the radar and the longer one is the drag chute.
Adam Murphy
I gush far too much when listing all the small differences in Flanker models. Was there anything you didn't notice amongst what I listed? Just asking out of curiosity.
Josiah James
>
Also aside from the differences in the engine nozzles, looks like you got everything. Also it's rather trivial, but it's worth noting that the T-10 has a two piece canopy, whereas the Su-27 and onward have a three piece.
Benjamin Reyes
Also I can't tell for certain, but it looks like the T-10 lacks the pop-up airbrake.
Jack Evans
Oh, you're right. I guess I just checked the silhouette of the canopy and called it a day. The engines look truncated to me. Are there aircraft with engine nozzles like that? That's what I meant by dorsal airbrake. I don't actually know the technical term.
I'll confess that other than other gushing over my planefu, my objective atm is to draw (spoiled in case it's heresy) a "mecha musume" along the lines of pic related with a lot of notes of how the Flanker translates in to the design. Would it be alright if I posted the end result of this (unholy?) endeavor) on this thread? Is the V2 for cases like me?
Bentley Ross
No, I like mecha musume too.
Owen Richardson
>you already mentioned the airbrake way back at the beginning
Wow, I'm fuccin blind
Levi Baker
I did post a greentext list. It's easy to gloss over parts of it on a blue background.
Daniel Cox
Some of us even play KanColle, also Flight Highchool is always appreciated here. As long as it doesn't get into weird porn I believe most of ushave at the very least nothing against that.
Jacob Cooper
I wouldn't go much further than the example I posted when it comes to "sexiness". The flanker is sexy even in plane form anyways.
Sebastian Sanchez
Not your fault m8, I shoulda read it. In any case, you got everything, To be perfectly honest, as sexy as the Flanker is, the T-10 is fucking ugly.
Camden Kelly
Hey, I'd like weird porn. Gimme some delicious C-17 vore.
Adam Carter
I'd say the points that make it less attractive for me are: >rounded wingtips >radome panneling pattern >vertical stabilizers much closer together Can you pinpoint the deal breaker for you? I still find it very nice though.
Have Flankers mating.
Logan Robinson
Training Flankers have a mount for a hood. I'm told it's used to force the trainee to pay attention to the instruments. Has anyone got more info on that?
Hunter Fisher
AC4 is such a borefest. How do you go from AC3 to this shit? I can hardly believe it. It even play WORSE, the missions are worse, and let's not even talk about the music and plot, that would be plain mean. I'm forcing myself to finish it.
Oh yeah, and the voice and dialogue is just shit. Not as hilariously bad as X's though, but fucking boring
Alexander Miller
...
Adrian Cox
It seems I'm missing a top view of the Su-34 and a three view of the Su-37. Does anyone have one of those handy?
Nathan Robinson
I do think AC4 is the weakest part of the holy trilogy, at least for me.
The controls feels insanely slow and too many missions are "kill stuff until the time limit" Also I felt Stonehenge was cool and felt threatening enough, but the mission where you took it down is laughably easy.
On the other hand, I'm sure as hell not saying it's a bad game. The music is as always top tier, the plot's not my favourite but I'll recognise its qualities, and Megalith is top hype music.
Ryan Campbell

I don't play KanColle. What's the meaning of the spoilered bit?
John Richardson
It basically means that starting from early august we will have trouble walking straight after the sneaky chink had his way with us.
Cooper Bailey
New comfy plane coming through
Nathaniel Barnes
It means 7 maps of Dorf fort-brand FUN
Bentley Perry
Yeah, of course it's not a plain shit game, but after playing AC5, X, and especially 0 like a madman, it sure is shit for AC standards. Even X feel way better to play on the Vita! A console without 4 triggers!
I also can't get into 4's music at all, same for the "plot"
I'm at the mountain mission where you need to evade Stonehenge shots and it's pretty damn cool at least. This an Corona made the game worth to play still. But the other missions were dreadfully bad.
Alexander Ortiz
Why aren't these real?
Elijah King
I finally found what the difference between the Su-27 and Su-35 was (thrust vectoring doesn't help as not all Su-35 have it: The 27's IRST is centered while the 35's is off-center. I can't believe it took me this long.
Also, is the Su-34 the only model lacking an IRST?
Comfy as fuck. I want a hoodie like that.
John Hernandez
>4 worse than 5

AC5 is the weakest part of the trilogy easily.

This >retarded unlocking system >one of the requirements for getting a FALKEN is locked behind a shitty mission >TOO MANY GIMMICK MISSIONS >muh war is bad plot >SOLG is underwhelming compared to Megalith and Morgan >squad barely do anything no matter what command you give >Fucking nagase and chopper
Henry Evans
>squad barely do anything no matter what command you give this is the real killer
The game is working off the assumption that you care about the rest of the squadron, but they can't fly and bitch too much.
no wingmen (4), or a competent wingman (0) are the only good options
Samuel Green

Jacob Miller

I wonder how this actor feels about being as iconic as he is. Well, not that he's likely to know. It'd be interesting if he did though! Such a memorable face and performance!
I think the missions in AC5 are great. Lots of variety. The "muh peace" writing is too much though and the bosses are pretty shit. I only really like the Arkbird battle. The submarines were kinda bad. Maybe the Hrimfaxi was good, did it have the drones in AC5 or was that an ACI thing? I don't remember. The SOLG is an extremely boring fight. Cool, but there's nothing to do but fly slowly next to the long tube. If you're feeling suicidal, you can try to fly through the tunnel but the hit detection is ridiculous. Or maybe I'm just bad.
The Aces tunnel was GREAT though.
Zachary Nguyen
Yeah, that's a legitimate complaint, but at least he cracked a few jokes. He was the only wingman that made me crack a smile. >> > When he went down, I was stuck with a bunch of fucking downers.
I couldn't put my finger on which racing game track it reminded me of when I first heard it, was looking through the grand turismo and need for speed OSTs.
