Mashu can taunt, buff the party's defense, and do invuln+NP charge. When she gets an NP upgrade from the story, it gives an attack boost to the other party members on top of its two initial effects (which are applied to Mashu as well).

I keep reading how grinding for ascension mats are a waste of time because events will throw them at you and it's QP and EXP that's going to hinder ascending your servants.

Is that true? I've been grinding XP, QP and Mana Prisms while waiting for an event to come to ascend my servants.
