Godot fags: Which tutorials/channels would you recommend? I watched HeartBeast a lot for GM content before and that made GDquest pop up in my reqs, but his accent is shitty and distracting.

POLL TIME! How old are you? How long have you been 'deving'? How many games? How many minutes of anime have you watched this week? How many pull-ups can you do?
Benjamin Taylor
That post is at the top of the thread. If I didn't put a warning there he'd be getting (You)s all day. He might still, but at least I've done my part to stop him.
John Green
kidscancode for the very basics, gdquest is good for specific stuff and there's a tutorials channel in the discord

Reminder to break down your game into assets and sell it on the store, you will make more money with that way than with the game itself.

Cool, but where's the link to the video though? Is it still uploading?

> what are some weird scenarios?
Defending yourself while taking a shit.
It was common to hide in drop toilets with spears or swords in the middle ages, wait for someone to sit down and then just stab them in the scrotum.
People were also at their least guarded when going to the toilet, so it was a good time to attack. Generally, eating, sleeping, fucking or shitting was the best time to attack someone because they were either hungry, tired, aroused or preoccupied.
So taking your weapons to the toilet and being able to move at a moments notice is important. For example, taking off your pants when taking a shit. That way if you get jumped, you don't need to worry about your legs getting tangled up.
Toilets, especially public toilets are popular places to attack people. In a modern context, staying on your guard and using the toilet intelligently will help you win a combat encounter in the shitter.
Urinals for example, great way to attack or get attacked. Stomp kick someone into the urinal is an easy set-up for a beating. I never use urinals for that reason, its way to easy to move up on you and take advantage.
There are so many others, might be fun to make an assassin game where you kill people in weird ways...
Elijah Jenkins
Is that a good idea tho?

What's the definition of a yesdev? Someone who has sold a game? Someone who has made a game not only with gameplay, but interface, menus, sounds, etc? Someone who has made pong/tetris/snake?

Someone who has made at least one game that can be considered a finished product, has never watched anime, and can do at least 10 pull-ups.
Carter Morales
How the fuck have you made so much progress so fast? Are you using an asset pack? This is looking good though.
John Gray
Does it count as posting progress if it's a bunch of old webms saved up?
Landon Flores
25 2.5 years 15, but most of them are Jam games. I don't know, I think I watched about 50 episodes between new shows and backlog Hokuto no Ken is fucking great, why didn't I follow it when I was 4 year old? I think about 3 but probably less, haven't worked out in a long time
Logan Campbell

So I figured out what was causing the frame drop when the player first appears in the game - a glass shader I used on the bridge. So I'm thinking of using this one. Don't see any more choices for now. Does this look like glass to you?
Jason Sullivan
What do you mean? Are you a fatlard who can't imagine doing 10 pull-ups? I mean, it's not even hard to do, at least half of my male friends can.

i think you've made quite a bit of improvement from the first demo, can you please map the aiming to right mouse though?
mid mouse?
really?
otherwise keep it up, its actually looking like its going somewhere.

If it's something no one has ever seen then there's no way for anyone to know if it's old or new.
Jaxson Gonzalez
definitely looks way better in motion than what it used to, but your art direction is still abhorrent these are some of the most unlikeable characters and assets i've seen on /agdg/ in a while
Oh look another retard who thinks he's being clever by instituting stupid bullshit and trying to force it on agdg Anons like you have always been the bane of generals
Elijah Gonzalez
And for good reason
Tyler Perez
Sure. There should be remappable controls in the next demo, or maybe the one after. Probably the one after, since right now I'm focusing on the level. But I'll change the aiming to the right mouse for now.
