Willing to make ART for YOUR game!
Only ONE project will be accepted? Will it be you?
If you NEED art, please, let's talk ! ! !

Some restrictions apply. Be prepared to give details about your game and workflow.

Are you autismos serious? Who gives a shit. All a thread needs is /agdg/ title so I could ctrl+f it in the catalog

FUCK YOU UNITY FAG

Godot fags:
Which tutorials/channels would you recommend? I watched HeartBeast a lot for GM content before and that made GDquest pop up in my reqs, but his accent is shitty and distracting.

>Restricted-RPS magically has 500 players
thanks steamspy but thats wrong.

POLL TIME!
How old are you?
How long have you been 'deving'?
How many games?
How many minutes of anime have you watched this week?
How many pull-ups can you do?

That post is at the top of the thread. If I didn't put a warning there he'd be getting (You)s all day.
He might still, but at least I've done my part to stop him.

kidscancode for the very basics, gdquest is good for specific stuff and there's a tutorials channel in the discord

come on man photons and electrons are the same thing.

don't bait me you memer

Reminder to break down your game into assets and sell it on the store, you will make more money with that way than with the game itself.

Cool, but where's the link to the video though? Is it still uploading?

> what are some weird scenarios?

Defending yourself while taking a shit.

It was common to hide in drop toilets with spears or swords in the middle ages, wait for someone to sit down and then just stab them in the scrotum.

People were also at their least guarded when going to the toilet, so it was a good time to attack. Generally, eating, sleeping, fucking or shitting was the best time to attack someone because they were either hungry, tired, aroused or preoccupied.

So taking your weapons to the toilet and being able to move at a moments notice is important. For example, taking off your pants when taking a shit. That way if you get jumped, you don't need to worry about your legs getting tangled up.

Toilets, especially public toilets are popular places to attack people. In a modern context, staying on your guard and using the toilet intelligently will help you win a combat encounter in the shitter.

Urinals for example, great way to attack or get attacked. Stomp kick someone into the urinal is an easy set-up for a beating. I never use urinals for that reason, its way to easy to move up on you and take advantage.

There are so many others, might be fun to make an assassin game where you kill people in weird ways...

Is that a good idea tho?

It's shit for recording gameplay.

This guy made a tutorial of making Flappy Bird, and he's making a shmup tutorial now (only 2 episodes so far though)

But if you have a hard time understanding GDQuest you probably wont understand anything this guy says.

If you count jam games, 12, but only like 4 of them are actually fun for more than 5 minutes. As for real games, 0.
0 But I've been meaning to watch some anime again

What's the definition of a yesdev?
Someone who has sold a game?
Someone who has made a game not only with gameplay, but interface, menus, sounds, etc?
Someone who has made pong/tetris/snake?

Are you bokubedev or not?

This general has a very uniform userbase.

>you just need to click 35345 different links bro lmao what are u blind
the op is for newbies and quickly shutting down lazy motherfuckers who come here to post dumb shit without even looking at the op

yeah it would. good idea.

no whats a bokudev?

>all these people saying they can do >10 pull-ups
it's like they don't even know how to pretend that they are reasonably fit

Someone who has made at least one game that can be considered a finished product, has never watched anime, and can do at least 10 pull-ups.

How the fuck have you made so much progress so fast? Are you using an asset pack? This is looking good though.

Does it count as posting progress if it's a bunch of old webms saved up?

15, but most of them are Jam games.
I don't know, I think I watched about 50 episodes between new shows and backlog Hokuto no Ken is fucking great, why didn't I follow it when I was 4 year old?
I think about 3 but probably less, haven't worked out in a long time

>progresso
that should have made it immediately obvious it's bokudev

dev: someone who made a game
yesdev: someone who is currently making a game (progress rate must be 1/week or higher)
nodev: you

So I figured out what was causing the frame drop when the player first appears in the game - a glass shader I used on the bridge. So I'm thinking of using this one. Don't see any more choices for now.
Does this look like glass to you?

What do you mean? Are you a fatlard who can't imagine doing 10 pull-ups? I mean, it's not even hard to do, at least half of my male friends can.

>progresso

>those shaders

>those clouds

>that color scheme

come on freddie.

we know its you.

we're not going to shit post, we swear.

This is overflowing with juice !
Pretty inspiring, I must say.

>after a few seconds it always stops moving until the player stops pushing and then starts pushing again
>print velocity to the screen
>it stays the same even when the object stops moving
What could cause this in Unreal?

>subtly hinting he also has female friends
pretty good for a frogposter

i think you've made quite a bit of improvement from the first demo, can you please map the aiming to right mouse though?

mid mouse?

really?

otherwise keep it up, its actually looking like its going somewhere.

yeah you will! You'll tell my goyums who funded my sheckle starter and they will riot.

>How old are you?

>How long have you been 'deving'?
QBasic CYOIs with dice rolls for combat on a HDD with 98mb max free space and using Windows 98 SE so about that long.
>How many games?
Tons of prototypes, only one 'serious' game attempt (current)
>How many minutes of anime have you watched this week?
0 but online friends have recommended some and I wouldn't mind giving them a chance
>How many pull-ups can you do?

If it's something no one has ever seen then there's no way for anyone to know if it's old or new.

definitely looks way better in motion than what it used to, but your art direction is still abhorrent
these are some of the most unlikeable characters and assets i've seen on /agdg/ in a while

Oh look another retard who thinks he's being clever by instituting stupid bullshit and trying to force it on agdg
Anons like you have always been the bane of generals

And for good reason

Sure. There should be remappable controls in the next demo, or maybe the one after. Probably the one after, since right now I'm focusing on the level. But I'll change the aiming to the right mouse for now.

well, i wont shitpost. i'm still waiting for that knight game though. like wtf, why did you stop working on that for bokube.

>frogposter
I'm not the author of the poll if that's what you mean.

don't need to admit it
i'm still impressed even if /v/ lowered my expectations towards frogposters below the ground

Thanks! I've been at it for almost a year exactly, and it's starting to get much better.

Just look at the early version of this stage I had a year ago.
