Haven't done any benchmarks or anything but the game runs just fine with no tearing or stutter on my 970 and 6600K. Everything on high except AA and draw distance on low and shadows on medium. Motion blur is off, obviously.

Get a supressed Assault Rifle and camp with a x4 (preferably a x8) scope with a semi-automatic Shotgun as backup. Been playing the game non stop since I got it yesterday and I Can't get enough.

The only time i let him have something was the kar98 because I had an AK/M4 already and the guy had a shotgun only. I figured a sniper + shotgun was a good combo. He just runs to my kill because he was closer. Am i supposed to kill him and get my scope?

I just won a match today with a lv3 backpack.
I've only ever found a lv3 helmet once, and it was damaged from me killing its wearer. Never even seen a vest

not really killed by it, more getting killed using it. The lower damage, and low ROF has fucked me over many times, and in those cases having a double barrel, or even pump would have given me the kill. It's better then a pistol, but I'll take either of the other shotties over it every time.

Is there any general strategy I should know about? Any links to guides?

The youtube how-to-not-be-retarded videos for this game are actually pretty good. Just search around there and watch a few.

General themes:
-Know when to engage
-Know when to NOT engage
-Commit to whatever you're going to do, this game does not reward half-assed attempts at things
-Drop into popular areas when you're new to learn how to fight well
-Memorize the plane path and use that information
-Top 10 is difficult, there are a variety of good videos for dealing with that out there. Try not to be jittery
-It's usually best to let two people fighting fight it out rather than join in

Don't get shot
Remember to load your weapons when you pick them up
use attachments and always think about getting better gear
Killing somebody usually means you're safer than you were before killing them, UNLESS someone else is hunting for you, and the gunshot would pinpoint your location.
Smokes are your friends and molotovs are useless.
Being patient and camping building exits is often better than charging into a building with another player that you know is inside.

I never knew before I bought that the matchmaking was 1v1 2v2 4v4 and it puts you into teams, I expected dayz and rust style shit of massive team speak teams, the matchmaking is really good, 9/10 the person has a mic and you meet some interesting people as well. Met a knowledgeable brit, crazy Russian and a guy from Lithuania. Fun stressful times. More games need this type of matchmaking.

The format of the game is what makes it stand out from the crowd. It's not another survival sandbox game. It's death match on a shrinking island. I just pray they never bog it down with crafting.

I think it would be cool if they added tanks in a certain area of the map, that are unable to leave. meaning tanks are only relevant if you choose to drop there or the game ends there.

Played Duo/Squad today and holy fuck is it a lot easier than Solo.
