The Mustang is a bit cheaper and I like that the aftermarket is somewhat centralized, compared to the Camaro aftermarket being all over the place. But every fuckboy and their vaping club has a Mustang. And I can actually cam the Camaro instead of a ricey ghost cam tune. WHAT DO I DO

Camaro is an unreliable piece of GM shit with a terrible interior and sub-par styling.

Meanwhile coyote guys get a lope tune (with all of the other modifications factored in because nobody does this to a stock car) and get power gains, along with a choppy lope and good driveability

Nah, if I got a cam I'd also get headers and intake and get it tuned. I actually live really close to a shop that tunes Chevy SS's all day long, including the fastest one in the country. They know their shit about the LS3.

Trust me, I 150% would. But insurance + the note would be a no-go.

You can cam a Mustang too. It just costs a tad bit more. My '14 GT500 is pounding away with a moderate set of cams. It's amazing how held-back that Trinity 5.8 engine was from the factory. A full exhaust (LTs, midpipe, mufflers) and an NSR cam and mine picked up well over 100rwhp.

The coyote 5.0s are very responsive to modifications too. My wife has a 5.0 and it's a beast compared to the mod motors.

I’d skip the pre-15 mustangs since they still have that archaic live rear axle suspension. A Challenger SRT8 2011+ or a 5th gen Camaro SS would be a better choice since they handle better while having a significant power advantage over the 5.0 mustang.

Had a challenger SRT for a few years and really enjoyed it. If you’re not hitting the track, check the challenger out since it’s got a ton of power, good aftermarket, and comfy. If you plan on mountain or track driving, go camaro.

i compared getting 12 gt or 12 camaro and ended up getting the mustang, neither are bad choices, the camaro has more easy potential, fbo with cam your looking at 460~ whp while on the mustang most people will agree for the price of cams boost is more worth it and mine made 420~ i personally perferd the interior and exterior of the mustang and engine is personal prefrence, i personally like shifting my car up higher in rpms (7600) and the more exotic sound of the dohc but the ls3 makes so much low end grunt and sound so agressive and deep... both are good it all comes down to personal preference.

I've sat in both and interior of the 15+ feels significantly more cramped. I'm 6ft @ 230lbs, so more room is more better.

man every meet i go to ive never seen any challengers with mods that arent rgb halo headlights.. they are fast in the stock for stock world but once bolt ons come along the get outpaced

I never said the the challenger was faster/better on a track than the mustang GT. What I said was that the challenger is the best car if all OP does is go to meets, use it as a daily driver, and do stoplight pulls. The camaro is a better car if he wants a track car since it’s got a better platform to work with and modify down the road with a fully independent suspension.

A better comparison between the mustang and camaro would be the 1le, which is significantly faster than both the GT and boss 302

What can you buy for $20k that can match a 2011 mustang GT or 2011 camaro SS around a track? You can get those cars for that price without 100k+ miles and being beat to shit
