>hatch
>not Fast Wheel Drive
for what purpose?

Because hatches are the ultimate automotive symbol of cuckoldry. They try to combine the positives of a bunch of bodystyles but end up compromising on everything.

But we did, it just so happens to be the ugliest BMW series so they didn't sell well.

Same reason we didn't get lots of the shitbox Mercs and other 4cyl German cars- they want to maintain their luxury image in the US.

They sold 320i's in Yurop when the 328i was the lowest model 3 Series you could get in the US.

The Sprinter vans were all Mercedes with a Dodge badge on it because they didn't want Murricans to see a Merc star on a work van.

>not fast wheel drive

imblign

At least not as bad as all the 316i and 318i sold in Latin America.

Yurop gets a 3-cylinder 318i nowadays

The worst facelift ever, fucking hideous.

This is the only correct answer. Lexus, Honda, and Nissan did the reverse for exactly the same reason - they wanted to create luxury brands more removed from their economy badges so they engineered some new ones. The Germans and English were so threatened by a credible threat that they keep making "It's a Toyota!" jokes about Lexus to mask their own discomfort.

hatchbacks are for ricers and poorfags

but you can get the sprinter with a merc badge on it in america

Vito (metris) also

You sure about that?

It's the Japanese Mercedes

>not Fast Wheel Drive
are you sure?

That's a 2

Called the 1-series Coupe back in the day

Because we did?
