>some ratty old skyline
>some pigfat family sedan
good you say?

>Commodores
>not good hoonmobiles
Not even a kangaroo.

>LS1 power for under 3k
>not good

I'm going to be controversial but I still stand by this choice.

more like 5k, one for 3k is probably fucked.

t-this I guess?
drive it only once but it felt pretty good

It looks like someone shooped a scorpio to be T H I C C

Offer 1k and a carton of Winnie Blues, and he might just take the Winnie Blue because if he takes the money that means he has to take care of his fat gf and 3 kids.

Pouch of white ox goes for 1.5k in prison, just offer him 3 50g pouches.

em1 isn't cheap for what it is.

If you're in Europe, there's no cheaper RWD hoonmobile than this

My sisters first car was a 92 318i she got for $2000

It had a M3 body kit but ran like a dog. the accelerator was loose as shit and the engine started fucking up so she sold it and got a Peugeot 306.

Relatively cheap if you combine it as a hoon car + Daily

Rate my JDM whip, lads.

Are these the fords with inline 6's? Fucking based

Turbocharged inline 6, around 270kw and 530Nm

It'll be real one day

All Falcons have straight 6's, but that one has the Barra engine which is the one with the good reputation.

My dad has the same car, same colour but with a bulge bonnet. it's just the NA version but extractors, exhaust and a high pressure fuel reg gave it more HP.

But since its a mk1 BA theres no traction control button which means no skids.

Were these only available in Australia?
I would totally buy one as my first American car.

Australia and New Zealand, think some were sold in South Africa.
Impossible for Americans to get them.

>good reputation
The old Intechs were very reliable, though they were shit on fuel and power.

EL i6 shits on NA barra.

my old 95 xr6 was awesome.

No seppos allowed

Also Americans can't have the 5.4l v8 either can they?

>Impossible for Americans to get them
How ironic that it's an American company yet we don't get the kickass turbocharged I6 models. That fucking sucks.

I'm sad now

I'm so jealous of Americans and Australians for having all of these awesome high displacement 6 and 8 cylinder cars, most cars here are 1.6 liter 4 cylinder cuckboxes

>But since its a mk1 BA theres no traction control button which means no skids.

Damn that explains why I could never rip skids in my mums xr6t. One time I was on a pizza delivery and a guy offered me 40 bucks to do a skid on his driveway and I couldn't do it.

calais > everything

hsv and ss fags btfo!

v8 > i6
youtube.com/watch?v=-Vp-Phhiv4g

>that turbo squeal
>that fucking cloud

They did have a V8 available, thought the turbo 6 was better in every aspect other than noise.

*though

>All Falcons have straight 6's

This is so wrong.

I'm a big I6 fan but that beefy growl..

calais is more of the comf spec
v6 is good with supercharger tho
as much power as N/A v8 but with less bulk

dont care about the 3800 or supercharged one

putting a big cam in the ls1

Its because you're shit, if theres no TC button theres no TC

>muh calais

This, apart from yurocuck cars, any car with TC will have a way to disable it

>trying to find a BA or BF xr6 with a 5 speed for cheap
>they're all double the price of a xr6 with an auto
are the autos on the xr6 any good? or should I just keep waiting it out

I do 7.5L per 100km and make 157kW at the rears in a nearly stock AU3 manual

Shit that's good economy, is that highway? Might be getting an AU wagon and concerned about fuel economy.

youtube.com/watch?v=X9gzyOlJ9vw
4.0L i6 Intechs sound fucking great

Yeah highway, abysmal 12L/100km in heavy city traffic. 540km to a tank in the city or 700+ on the highway pretty much.

its just I've seen the v6 supercharged ones with really good acceleration
the normal v8 btfo of most traffic on the open road but v6 super is next level
supercharged v8 would prob start having traction problems

I'm lucky enough not to live in the city so I'm not overly worried about traffic, have you had your car tuned for fuel economy?

Na, they have torque tags engaged. you can only disable it if you get one of those performance chips.

Nope but it's a VCT 5spd manual with extractors & exhaust. I'll get it tuned eventually, I'd like to have it on e85 and get a noice intake for it.

The Tickford motors are really good, got ported heads and oversize valves and high pressure fuel pumps etc;

Only downside is the VCT cam has a lumpy shaky idle and the clutch in the manuals is really heavy.

Looking for a fun winter thrasher, probably just going to pick up an early WRX. Any other suggestions? I used to autocross my uncle's Evo MR, but those are too fucking expensive. I have driven a WRX quite a bit as well and have helped on a ton of maintenance on one in high school (AutoX teammate). I'm also aware of a lot of the issues these cars have, generally.

Or should I just trade my 2014 Mustang GT with the track pack and Recaro seats for a new STI...four doors would be nice. Can't quite afford a Focus RS or I'd do that.

The first Audi A4 is an awesome bargain. In Germany it is about 1000 - 2000€. It is reliable as fuck. Drove mine 10 years. No rust no drama.

We South Americans got some Holdens rebadged as Chevrolets many years ago, with they Alloytec V6s
Looked nice desu but they're super rare nowadays

Crown Vic, old 2wd pickups, mini or full size, 90s B body, 1st gen Legacy, pretty much fucking anything old and American and RWD

Your car has to be functioning to post here.
They did, as a truck motor it was designed for. Only Australia developed the flawed bastard that was the "Boss" 5.4 by cobbling a slow revving Triton 5.4 bottom end to high flowing Cobra heads.

my friend has one of these and he always talks about how fast it is

it makes me so uncomfortable

C O S W O R T H

>americans
Australia was the only one to get the falcon into this century

supercharger squeal you cuck

desu

Those early alloytecs we're crap though. Timing chain goes really quick on them

But its not even close to cheap then
I'm meant normal rwd sierra

lol stock v8 is a dog go hop in a tuned one

succc me

also your right the aussie ford v8 is shit especially the boss

R31s arent cheap. They used to be 5 years ago

every jdm car is meme taxed

best to just get domestic aussie/american

This
I own BA xr6 without TC button and skids easy as fuck

>he doesnt have the turbo barra
end yourself

It's turbo cuck the car had an issue making it sound like that

P plates faggot

i always see clean GXE's for $1500-$3000

Is pintara or bluebird good for skids?

END YOURSELF

>CA20E

no

you can just bolt a turbo on it and it will be fine.

Unironically
>inb4 no power
>inb4 fwd
>inb4 gooks

This car is one of the cheapest, lightest cars you can get newer than 2000, and they take infinite abuse.

piss off sexcel faggots

twin cam excels are based tho

they are all gone or overpriced

let the meme die

wtf? these are not hoon mobiles.

these are poor peoples first car mobiles.

only redeeming hoon feature is how shit they are so you don't have to give a fuck about them.

t. richfag

one of my first hooning experiences was putting maccas trays under the back tires of an excel.

Op said cheap but good cars. I posted a cheap but good car that also handles both curves and abuse surprisingly well.

t. hsp

my1.8T was a huge pile of shit but at least it got me around

Got a 2.4 b5.5, recently drove from Melb to ACT and back no problems.

>manual
>rwd
>inexpensive

pick only 2

Wrong

Wrong

Lol go find me a vy ss manual for less than 8k that doesnt have over 200,000km on the clock.

gumtree.com.au/s-ad/baldivis/cars-vans-utes/hyundai-excel-2000/1165741213

gumtree.com.au/s-ad/googong/cars-vans-utes/1997-ford-falcon-sedan/1127405209

mmm, fwd POS or straight 6 rwd?

What's wrong with more than 200,000km? My VY has done 320,000km and hasn't skipped a beat.
And if you can't afford the V8 then get the SV6.

im just saying.
and my vy needed new radiator and water pump at 280,000km, how is yours doing on that front?

>tfw murrican
>tfw want holden monaro
>tfw closest i can get is a gto
>tfw they are all overpriced
>tfw all around me are automatic

>oh no there goes my diff bushing for the third time this week

>good acceleration
About as quick as the aussie 5.0l. A golf gti could smash it.

Could be worse, you think a monaro is cheap in Australia?
and you just know the previous owners were most likely wogs that left vagina stains on the back seats.

Theres like 6 twin cams within a 20km radius of me going for less than $1.5k, most with roadworthy

Not sure, I got it at 290,000km. Might have already been done. It has the tow pack too, which apparently makes the transmission last much longer.
