Paid map packs splinter the player base and effect the longevity of the game (won't be playing those DLC maps too often that only a fraction of the players bought after the population drops)

Don't get me wrong I appreciate the higher quality but it's not really worth it. Also, 343 is NEVER removing req packs or microtransactions. So we'd be having that alongside paid maps if they ever returned.

So I guess Reach actually has MORE maps than Halo 3? I say this because I always poked fun at how few maps I thought it had.

Reach has 20 non-firefight maps. This is also assuming you count forge world as only one map, but even if you do, that's only 4 maps less than Halo 3's total including both mythic map packs.
Firefight adds another 9 maps which puts Reach ahead.

It's not going to pull old H3 numbers and WW2 will absolutely do better, but it will be a top 10 most played XBL game and it will have a higher population than Halo 5, Wars 2, and Reach combined.

Hey you guys, you may be made about this, but since Halo 2 Anniversary and Halo Wars 2 art was done by Blur and the outside team. Halo 6 will have the art style of Halo 4 and 5. Well at least there's a chance we'll get black undersuits, right guys?

Halo 6 is prerty clearly being taken back to the drawing board in order to have a more nostalgic feel to it. Everything we know about the game indicates and supports this.
I'm not saying it will have a H2A/HW2 art style for sure, but I doubt it will look exactly like 4 and 5.

They've already said they're considering black undersuits, but they also said that Cortana died in 4 and that 5 was going to be the greatest hunt in gaming history.

I honestly think HW2 is the style they are going to use going forward. 343 was very involved in the story and design monitoring of that game. I think like in HW2 we will see a more classic look for covenant and UNSC but the forerunner stuff will all be the newer metallic shapeshifting stuff.

True, with the art style it reminds of Metroid and Metroid Prime, Nintendo has an art style for both Metroids and Microsoft has an art style for both Halos.

I remember Jeff Easterling stating that they didn't use the H2A/HW2 models because it was from a two different teams not 343 themselves like the Halo 4 and 5 Elite models were.

It's fair to assume enough time has gone by inbetween games that some staff has switched up. Between Halo 4 and 5 it was in the campaign department. It could be the artists this time.

It will get to the 5-10 spot, remaining there for 1 week until people realize they don't like Halo in general anymore and then the population will plummet. It definitely won't do nearly as good as Black Ops 1 did. Better enjoy it while it lasts, hopefully i'll find some custom games in LFG.
