First for my thread wasn't a turd.

>posts in dirt bike thread
>doesnt post dirt bike
>claims his thread wasnt a turd

>Implying anyone will abide.

Time for some new ones I guess

that's only because most of dbt can't afford a dirt bike so they will say things like "dirt bikes are for rednecks" because the truth hurts.

Still got enough life left!

I heard you like straps? These things are huge, they carry all my camping stuff with room for more clothes.

Do you tuck your trousers into you boots or no?

It's more aesthetic.

Outch. That must have been quite painful.

>the legendary american build quality

>still rideable

EUROs BTFO!

>inner city street circuit

well...

seems pretty dumb to do that shit with harleys anyways.

Those things got tiny forks, fragile swingarms, soft af suspension, welded single-tube frames etc...

They just arent made to be put under stress.

Which bike would suit having a big bubble windshield

I would buy pic related in a heartbeat tbqhf

The Squirrelpocalypse begins today.

reeee someone sell me a fireblade

there are many things wrong with this image

>mail order bride fits perfectly on the back of his bike

First place = Kettengrad

90's Fartblades are fantastic. Not many other bikes allow you to stash a 6pack under the passenger seat.

This.
I don't have a 90's firblade, but the one I do have has one of the roomiest spaces under the pillion of any bike I've ever had.
One of the many things I love about it.

name 10

its Kettenk(raft)rad

and they are super expensive these days

I find this post funny
>buy dirt bike
>it's road legal
>can't post ITT in this thread
team green

yes, of course
what boots do you own that allow you to have your leather over the boots? physically impossible for me tbph

what are your thoughts on the BMW S1000RR?

sex

between two men

Worked on a few of them when I worked at BMW, they're alright fast as shit and expensive I like Japanese bikes more but if you can deal with the exhaust sound then I assume it'd do you well

Best GSXR money can buy.

Sexy...

How does maintenance go for them? easy, hard, expensive?

It’s a jizzer

hot

I was a painter so I don't don't the mechanical side of them but the technicians said that they rarely have major issues besides general maintenance, in all honesty 80% of BMWs reliability issues is because the people who own the vechiles treat them like shit

>Kettengrad

>beware: opinions

that's exactly what I wanted to hear. One day I will post my very own here... One day :'(

just get a stealership and pay 150dollaridoos a month, easy

tfw want one but nowhere near ready for muh power or the insurance payments

britbong here.

I wanna start riding (for fun / short hops) but I think or I don't know if it's too late.
>Already own a car,
>Soon 28
>Overweight
>Not much money
>Current personal situation means I have near zero freedom / 'on call' basically 24/7

I think the appeal of riding is just a fantasy at this point, something i'll always look forward to, but never making a reality.
Any advice from /dbt/?

..I guess a man can dream.

You'll get there user, the only time I've seen one in person have a mechanical failure was a client of ours who powder coats bikes didn't put the calipers on properly causing the brakes to lock up in a turn but that's the only time I've seen a part on them break

get fit you fat fuck
then get one and stay on call 24/7 but with a bike
easy
no one cares how old you are btw, that's a meme you dip

what is this stealership you speak of?
Also that - its my dream bike but cant see myself getting it for several years. The ninja 300 will have to do

It eats engines like mad because of bad valve trains

I rode my first motorcycle when I was 31

don't you have those in america? I get a loan from bmw for the price of the bike, they put insurance for giving you a loan and interest ontop and I pay it off in 2/4 whatever years, a few bucks a month
you pay more in the end but you don't have to save money for years

>but the technicians said that they rarely have major issues

>vvarious recalls
VDS-Sensor
crank-case breathing hose
even a recall because of the users manual
gas pump unit
intake valves broken
right bar control unit
side plastics have to get screwed on with additional screws
clutch armature changed
shaking engine when keeping it at one speed/rpm

Life expectancy of engine?

Also curious what everyone elses dream bikes are and why

Between 400 and 5000 miles

From aus - just never heard someone call a loan a stealership lol. Probably will do that but I want to put half down for it so debt isn't killer

you have no debts unless you shred the bike :^)

I started at 24 and I'm also on call 24/7. Hasn't affected my life any. If I get called I ride to where I'm needed.

Motorcycling is something you cant give up on so easily. It's gonna suck. You're gonna drop your bike and think you're a failure. Then it's gonna be awesome.

lol, the best attitude
Already have a car loan though so, atleast gotta pay that off and sell the ninja

Been riding 3 years and havent dropped it yet, dreading the time it happens

>>Overweight
>>Not much money
>>Already own a car
no problems dude, same here lmao

just do it

The first time I actually had an "accident" and not just a dummy dump I was fuckin furious. At myself, at the road conditions, at my now scarred ZX6R. I felt such a sense of shame for a couple weeks...

Friendo had an accident too, took him out of work for 2 months so im just constantly on high alert

Started at 29. Made me think that i should've done it much sooner. Still think about it and what other things i keep postponing and might even never experience. Riding helps.

Started at 4 or 5.

>scarred zx6r
also called a bike with character

In 22 years of riding and 6 accidents, 4 of which completely totalled said motorcycles.. I've never had an injury worse than a concussion.

I have been very lucky. I should have broken a collarbone by now.

Yea but the dangling turnsignal was like a big FUCK YOU. I was about an hours ride away from home when it happened.

>americans wake up
>thread goes to shit

I feel like shit /dbt/
I'm gonna go riding, but I know as soon as I'm done, I'll just feel like shit again.
I always feel kinda sad, but I normally got work to take my mind off it, but the weekend I just sit here and wallow in it.
Kinda just want to ride off the side of a mountain. Sister get's some insurance money, and I don't have to deal with anything anymore.
I want to stop feeling like shit, but I can't ride 24/7.

Try knitting. It helps some people.

I have pretty decent credit, does anyone know roughly how much a monthly payment would be on a $6000 Honda motorcycle if I finaced it?

Pic not related

You're not alone, user
Every day I want to turn up the music, sit on my bike and ride as far away as I can

getting a bike helped me lose weight

everytime i was hungry apart from the 3 main meals a day, i went out to ride

lost 15kg in 10 months

Not my thing, I can tell you that.
I tried to get back into models, but that didn't help.

And then you realise there's nowhere to ride to. You can't out run the feels.

Around $150 or less with 2k down, less if you're financing more than 3years.

>doesn't even say for how long

Supermotos as first bikes?

Recalls mean there is a problem with a few bikes and the company acts on that so it gets solved.

I don't see why that can be seen as a reliability issue.

you will get memed in 10...9...8...

>financing a $6k bike

I could just buy it, but I wouldnt gain any credit that way

Could be worse.
I got a friend financing a $3k bike right now.

How long will honda let you finance?

>gain credit

The stupidest shit EVER.
It's like going to jail to show the officers you're a good kid.

Is it within your financial capability to take a cheap flight somewhere in the world where you know nobody? Spend a week or so in a hostel walking around seeing how other people in the world live?

I know someone who bought a DRZ as his first bike and he tells me everyday that he loves his bike and that he should have bought something else.

It is, but I couldn't take enough time off for that.
Some of the best memories I have were in other countries.
Still don't think it'd help much tho.

Is the versys x300 decent?
I sort of want to get one, but it's low off-road capabilities sort of worry me, since sometimes i need to go throught some rough roads on the counrtyside.
