To the guy considering the Mirage in the last thread.

It's a really good aircraft and once you learn it's quirks and advantages you can shit on anyone.

Can even bomb truck with an A-10 buddy if you kill all the enemy planes

About to test out this World2XPlane thing, will post results.

janitors sure earn their pay huh?

...

Thanks, do the DCS modules ever go on sale or am I in to pay the full 60$ ?

Add FlightGear to flight games, and iRacing to driving games next time, thanks
There are, but noone knows when. There was a summer sale, you missed, but getting mirage on steam is worst think you could do

>iRacing

Why add any driving shit when /ovg/ exists? Nobody even talks about that shit here at all.

There will be sales, I'm not sure when the next one will be.

What's the expected approximate release date for the DCS F-18? I was considering the Mirage or the F-5 for my first module but now I want the F-18

Two weeks®
Q4 2017

pretty much every holiday there's sale, plus a few random ones every once and a while

youtube.com/watch?v=L6-YePpcDVc
IL2 1946 vietnam ops when

How the fuck do I keep the Mig21bis from bouncing when it lands?

break the landing gear

use the taxiway

Have you heard of BMS Falcon? If you want DCS F-18 that's currently the closest you can get to it.

Done.

Maybe.

>getting mirage on steam is worst think you could do
Can you elaborate on that ?

Can't use it on standalone

>intentionally try to break the landing gear to make a dumb meme image about "Works for me :^)"
>End up landing it successfully when trying to destroy it
I DON'T GET IT

slavic magic at work as you can see

Oh well, I'm too far deep in cahoots with the Steam-jew already.

To clarify for him: Any previous modules you've bought can be transferred over to the standalone version

With one exception: The M2000. So if you haven't bought it yet, it's not too late to jump ship.

I'm having the same conflict of consciousness right now, too. I don't know whether to jump to stand-alone or stay with Steam, but all my modules can be transferred.

Jump to standalone before steam tries something funny

nub here again, Is the SAU a real autopilot system in real Mig-21's, or is that a convenience made so it could have self-stabilization?
I'm wondering this because the idea of autopilot in a pre-vietnam plane that was made before the microcomputer is confusing me.

If you plan to buy anything new what's going to be released, you should, otherwise no reason.

Isn't it semi-autopilot thing? Which stabilizes but not autopilots

What the actual fuck happened to the last thread?

The Germans had a Autopilot/stabilization system in their heavy fights and bombers, which turns and keeps the aircraft at a inputted heading but leaves pitch alone allowing you too climb to where you want to go.

Some retard spammed the whole board and every general got pushed into the archive.

aryans bombed the thread

I missed it all, can you spoonfeed me?

Does DCS have any maps or areas of maps that are full of valleys and mountains where you can do some dangerous flying?

I wasn't joking user. That was the intended result.

Is this good loadout? Too bad it's 30/30 or 60/0 chaff/flares

I didn't see anything, but I've read it was something to do with pokemon. Maybe a /vp/ raid, I don't know.

Which one is better?

The Caucasus is a mountain range along the Russo-Georgian border

Caucasus the stock map is like that. Basically what this user says

some furry made over a hundred pokemon related generals at once (all of which had Pokemon porn as the OP image), which archived about 75% of the generals on Veeky Forums, anything that hadn't had a reply in three minutes was archived right away. also /simg/ missed the cutoff to survive by a minute, SAD!

are the non-FC3 servers active enough or is everyone and their mom flying the F-15 and Su-27 because they're easy?

There is cold war server, F-5 vs Mig-21
You can hop in a-10c, viggen, ka-50 too

T-62
>better armor
>lower profile
>fully stabilized optics on the turret
>fully NBC protected
>superior firepower

Yep that's agood loadout.
>Non-FC3 servers
You mean servers without any fc3 aircraft?
No such thing.

FC3 fills a much needed gap, sadly.

Will name you slots
>Blue Coalition:
A-10A*4
A-10C*4
AJS37*8
F-5E-3*24
F-86*8
Hawk*4
Gazelle*3
UH-1*4
>Red Coalition:
Ka-50*4
L-39ZA*4
Mi-8*4
Mig-15*10
Mig-21*24
Su-25*4
Su-25T*4

Now it's 6 people, but it goes above 10 or 15 I believe

>superior record
>positive KDA in most of its wars
>doesn't cook off most of the time

As of right now anyway.

Can you use the rest of the steam bought modules on standalone?

>gets hit RIGHT where the ammunition is stored
>Doesn't explode
Based M60.

Yes

Stupid question answered in post above

>superior record

>Iron eagle beginning
>Literally BMS
goosebumps are real

>inb4 they used a Anti-personell round because arabs.

youtube.com/watch?v=LyllGmyqYDk
youtube.comhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjiGh_4o9tQ&

BASED

I mean in this video they definitely didn't use something meant to be used on tanks but it still worked

oh fucking youtube, either way it was an exploding patton so nothing interesting.

I think in that video something very bad has happened to the people in the turret.

>splicing out the scene with the completely scorched, barbequed commander dragging himself out of the turret, falling over, than limping over to other nearby tanks in pain
M60 shills

I mean everyone worth a shit in WWII had autopilots, like any bomber with a Norden bomb site in particular.

Also ask a guy who fucked a man in the ass to get his phone charger back anything.

Even the lol russian turrets fly meme has fallen apart seems superior western turrets fly, even on relatively modern tanks.

If leopard2a4s are getting penetrated by older ATGMs what chance does a patton have?

That leopard has been hit with something far larger than a kornet, ammunition being stored there not withstanding.

Like what?

What the can be larger than a kronet?

Two kornets strapped together?

Is it gay if you're the pitcher?

Did you ever touch your tips? If not, it's not gay

was he cute?

It was probably abandoned and then hit with an airstrike to prevent it being captured. That's why most 'disabled' western tanks typically look like they had an unfortunate run in with a volcano.

Good question. My ground rules were that I was not gonna eat ass, nor was I gonna suck his dick.

No cause that's gay

He was cute when dressed as a trap. I don't know what all the hype about anal is. It wasn't particularly pleasant or enjoyable, but I got my phone charger back

you can see that the tank has blown right from the storage.

Also i doubt the turks competence to do what you are saying.
If it was an actual country, yeah, sure, but not turkey

Can you fuck off with your non sim related shit?

How much easier is the F5 or M2000 compared to the Mig21?

No he needs to project he's insecurity and empty soulless life on the internet and an anonymous image board at that in order to feel better about himself.

Do you want to know about the time he bought tomatoes at a supermarket as well?

False, it's only gay if balls touch
Did your balls touch?

DCS Problem #347
The post mission screen is fucking HORRIBLE.
Literally takes a PHD in literature to be able to figure out what the fuck happened.

BMS does a great job of showing you what you shot, what you hit, what you killed.

DCS is just like here is a list of literally everything that happened good look finding the things you give a shit about. Also here is a "score" what ever the fuck that means.

I wish I was rich and knew how to make games. I'd just fix all the dumb shit DCS has.

youtube.com/watch?v=0kjT1aNa3eA

here again, I figured it out.

Unlike every other simulator I've ever flown, I've been subconsciously trained to flare the aircraft's nose to let it touchdown. I've been doing it so long that I was inadvertently doing it when the Mig was just several meters above the ground.
Apparently that was causing a single bounce which fucked up the whole landing. I guess flaring the nose wasn't invented yet when this aircraft was made in soviet russia.

>in close (~1-1.5km)
T-62
>at range (1.5km+)
M-60
>upgrades
M60A3 by several orders of magnitude

Whoops, meant to link

>m-muh upgrades

that's like m113 upgrades you can't unshit a shitbox.

That's why tacview is %100 necessary if you want to enjoy DCS at all.

Anyone can link me up on modern jets air combat manuevers? I love my su-27 but I'm new, they outthink me

It is sim related. People who play sims are inherently gay.

In other news, how's the BMS F/A-18 vs the F-16?

mega.nz/#F!bcUHza5L!SlWxHsrEQGEw9XAM-E5YNQ

>How is F16vsF16

My dude, art of the kill is in the autism folder linked in the OP.

thanks

The Janes fighters anthology manual has a list of common maneuvers, their description, and when to use them.

Chapter 5

How up-to-date is any of that shit in the pastebin?

Search flanker training on youtube

pastebin is made in 2015
when thread was archived I created a new one with disclaimer that OP pastebin is old af, but I was too late

I can update the mega with new shit and info made in ms paint later i guess.

If you can, would be nice

Good job showing that you don't know jack shit.

Am I wasting time learning the modules of 2nd and 3rd gen fighters if I'm planning to play multiplayer or do the skills I learn in all of them transfer over?

Very old, but the material rarely ever changes.

The thing the pastebin lacks the most is up-to-date information on patches and balance changes. Things that are minor differences at best in simulators considering how many other factors play into them.

>Thrustmaster 16000 hotas coming on wednesday
>playing with an xbox controller until then

Can it be done?

If you have autism, yes.

...

And considering balance takes away from simulation value.
