Caut and/or Dead Zone prevent you from getting healed, enemies will adjust position to fire on you from different angles so your shield can't cover you completely, the shield itself will likely be focused down with Wrecker or skills with extra shield damage, and there are numerous CC effects that will make recovering from your idiotic charge very difficult.

Any non-braindead fernando knows how to position himself against a wall to avoid getting shot at from behind, and even if he doesn't it's still hard because the huge hitbox on the shield prevents you from hitting him unless you're looking directly at his back. It also prevents you from applying caut, and if you focus him down for too long his team will push up and his job is done anyway.
At high elo everyone just buys caut against seris because it's pretty much required to win, wrecker is rare, to get wrecker you have to coordinate which teammates will buy which, and nobody does that in solo Q

I played around 10 matches on PTS and every single one of them had flanknando, no exceptions
Every round, he was there behind my team, if we focused and killed him they'd cap for free, if we didn't he'd get free kills by spamming fireball

A champ with 5500 health shouldn't have such mobility on a low cooldown (with an extra 1000 health shield every time he uses with that card everyone uses), it's pretty much begging people to play him as a flanker. This game's playerbase is completely retarded, Pip can be played as a flanker and everyone cries about it until he's gutted, but Fernando doing is is perfectly fine

This was the kind of shit that almost made me drop the game back before he was nerfed

How is PTR Wyrm Jets, Does it effect the bunny hop aspect that hard? Its the best part of the card by far, the nerf seems trivial on the grand scheme of things.

So what am I missing about Fernando? He just feels so impotent. Flamethrower does fuckall, nobody groups up to be fireballed, charge is okay as a mobility skill I guess, but does shit damage and the knockback upgrade didn't work at all when I tried it.
