Oh wut? this was sudden. $14,000 added to the Evo pot bonus. From a KoF player point of view this is a big chunk of change, but relative to what other companies throw in it's kinda small. On one hand this is the type of thing they need to do for the game to get more traction in America what with how things are, but it leaves me with a few questions: Is this because it's a special occasion or will more stuff like this happen in the future? Will this be enough to give it a boost? Will people not care either way? I take it one can see this as a sign that SNK is getting healthier. The casuals want a fighting game story mode and Capcom recognizes that but they don't get that casuals want a GOOD story mode. Capcom sees that FGC people wanted a balanced game and they got it- but it's terribly boring and sullied the established formula.

Dayum, I have my doubts about the rumors of Romance being well off. But then again, people who have a spare plot to create a pool in their property are usually well off. I definitely can see why people think of Max that way but he tries to address and focus on other games, which is prety admirable. I don't think of him as a Capcom Shill or Capcuck but he has a clear preference, like everybody else. I wish there was a Max-like figure for SNK games but even if there was a charismatic fan, there has to be an audience which has intrigue enough to want to know more.
